Hell we have to get our picture taken for driver's licences every 4-5yrs so what's the big deal?

Because they contain remotely trackable, unique identifier chips. o.O

Though I'm sure if they wanted to track you, they would... it just makes it easier to create a general database of everyone's movements and wearabouts.

I really don't see what it does to help ease immigration nor crime, just another way of gathering statistical data and making sure everything in the country is accounted for as far as the citizens go.
