Buzz Fuzz contacted OS/2 to let him know that he can't perform at WEMF due to a larger festival in Holland that he was booked to play at being bumped up to the same weekend as WEMF. Merkurius was booked a couple days ago to be somewhat of a replacement. If there is a new DJ, it's probably Destiny's scramble for a 'big name' replacement. I doubt a new artist will be anounced. Nothing has been said about anybody new from OriginalVibe or Destiny on their very active official board.
For the past 5 WEMF's the lineup has been pretty evenly divided-up between the two nights. Saturday has a few more names. But you miss quite a bit if you don't come on Friday.
So far from the booking agencies websites, this is the lineup for the main stage:
Friday - Astral Projection, Chris Liberator, D.A.V.E. the Drummer, Josh "The Funky 1"
Saturday - Rabbit in the Moon, Donald Glaude
I'd bet John 'OO' is on Saturday. OS is in theory releasing the set schedule tomorrow for the main 4/4 and Bassline stage.
But, why would you come for only half the event? You really haven't experienced WEMF unless you're there for Friday night too. Regards.

My group and I have always thought that Friday night was the best night.
Yeah, there's not as many giant headliners. But it was always considerably less-crowded, I was completely clean, energized, hyped and the vibe was always better as it seemed ALL of the people there for Friday night were the most dedicated and positive people. I always cherish Friday and party my brains out Saturday (and ya don't want to look, talk to or smell me on Sunday, lol).
Well, now I just need to confirm how I'm getting down to Orangeville...
I should pull out my tent this weekend, see whuts all there... and figure out how many coolers Im gonna need for all my beer (and water + food too I guess).
I love prepping for WEMF... so much fuN!

Sometimes shit happens. We were just as surprised as you since we signed a contract in February and paid our deposit in March. After quite a heated phone call with the agent yesterday, we were told that since John already has played WEMF the last few years and his profile isn't as high in South America they decided to take that gig instead. It is by far the lamest thing that we have seen from an agent/DJ in a long time and are quite pissed. Since we found out 24hours ago we have been looking at a replacement for John and will announce that shortly.
If you look on our site at wemf.com there was a post about this very topic on the weekend that we have left up to ensure there was transperancy on the matter and that all the info was made public ASAP.
We can confirm that all other artists are 100% confirmed and looking forward to a great event. Unfortunately with an show as big as WEMF it is inevitable that something will go wrong with one or two bookings every year. There are over 200 performers and on average we usually lose 2-3 due to various reasons. The good thing about this year is that we actually have some notice and can replace the artist before the event happens as opposed to it being a weather issue where its all last minute.
Rest assured we are working hard to make this WEMF our best ever. You will not be dissapointed!

Somebody already pointed that out days ago on the WEMF board, but OS hadn't really clarified the matter.
Very unprofessional on John's part. Especially when Destiny had already paid their deposit.
Glad to have a straight and clear answer. I hope you all have success in finding a replacement we all love.
Damn, he was the main guy I wanted to see...oh well as long as there's trance it'll be the vibe that matters most to me!
