hey Stan, who did you introduce us too?!

I was wearing a tan baseball cap, with a brown and green turtle neck type shirt with a zipper.

i was with 2 tall guys, 1 of them was asian (ppl in taiwan point at him ), i was also with one short girl who didnt dance much cause she was jet lagged and another girl in a skirt and a tanktop wearing hills, all dressed up and stuff.

i think i saw kim (sothis) when we were coming back from the washroom, but when i turned around i lost her. and i briefly met stan outside.

Does Liquid Overdose have some female vocals in it? I think I may be missing one track in between Push and Four Strings. If the liquid overdose track is the same one I'm thinking of, then it's a bloody amazing tune. Well it's bloody amazing either way, because the last 2 hours of his set were just nuts period, not a bad track played =)

The Lee Coombs mix of Crystal is a great tune, it's more proghaus, but it worked amazingly well after Resurrection, I was very surprised. The beat is really dope, it's like a breaky proghouse track sort of, hard to describe. Good vocals of course, and a very nice buildup. I ahve the record and would have never thought to mix it in after a big track like PPK, props to Tiesto for that one.

The Tiesto remix of Tarantula is very nice as well. Steady beat with a nice Tiesto'ish buildup in it.

The track he played immediately after Push was awesome, it was kind of similar to Flight 643 in that it was very hard and relatively minimal, and it had some sweet assed non-cheesey 303 riffs in it that had everyone pumping their hands in the air.

I really need to get Strange World on vinyl. I've heard it several times before, twice from Tall Paul and once from Taucher, but for whatever reason those times I heard it live it was just not the same as when Tiesto played it. As shylock pointed out the energy was just nuts. I guess it all had to do with when it was situated in his set and the like, and the overall good time I was having. Nuts though, can't wait til he comes back

No vocals in the Liquid Overdose track. For those of you that have his Live at La Rocca 11-17-01 set he plays the song we're all looking for right after Urban Train.

ok I am back

I only met Shylock and Sothis. Actually they both found me!! haha I guess my hat was pretty easy to spot. But yeah I met Elena too but since it took her a long time to come up the stairs I lost her. Btw what happened there? The bouncer was giving you guys a hard time??

I actually lost Shylock and Sothis. The last time I saw sothis was when she was high on some free e that some guy gave to her!! Go figure!! I hope she is okay though.
I also saw some people from school, which I then introduced to shylock and sothis.., answering shylock's question there.

Ok I'll shut up now, here are the pictures.
Note: the 4th one is Shylock and the 6th one is Sothis with her friend.

Tahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa si t'avais venu a vancouver, t'aurais peux venir voir tiesto avec moi!! so where were you??

Rob, i did phone you at around 9:30 but i was getting crappy reception inside commodor so i gave up. and then i tried phoning you after the show when we went outside and you answered but all i head was music lol

at the entrance, the fckin bouncer was being a bonehead. my friend is an international student so she doesnt have no gov't issued IDs only her student card and an international student card so the bouncer didnt want to let her in and then he said 'well since you paid so much money ill let you in, but only this time. if it was a regular club night i would not have let you in, and blah blah blah'

i saw you stan inside the club later but you were kinda far out there.

kim, did you have two pony tails? the girl that i saw that i thought was you had a similar shirt to yours and 2 ponytails.

oh yeah, i taped tiesto's set xfm played last saturday and it has quite a few tracks he played on sunday at the commodor.

LOL, i kept getting calls when i was inside, and had no hope of hearing anything. so i'd just hold my phone up in the air so whoever was calling could enjoy the tunes for as long as they stayed connected. lol

you must have missed one or both of the encores then? cos if you left before the lights turned on, then you missed a bit.

luckily i didn't have a coat in the coat check, cos that was one long, stinky line-up!

sux about the bouncer, they can be such putz's sometimes... but at least they let you guys in anyway!

next time we'll have a more organized meet-up and and back-up plan!

Posted by Sean Walsh on Dec-20-2001 05:39:

Next time I'm definitely having a pre-party at my house.

Posted by sothis on Dec-20-2001 06:40:

wow well i had a good time, met a few folk, shylock, insomneac, stan, and someone who i don't remember his name, but it was trance(something)... he thought i was all infamous or something... hehe... i was pretty drunk when i met you guys, so im sorry if i was being silly

id write more but im off to california with the folks for a stupid vacation... ugh. hey stan, save me the pics, ill message ya when i get back in a week

Posted by apri_peel on Dec-20-2001 09:08:

yep, missed the encores cause we didnt wanna wait half an hour in the coat check line up and one of my friends just flew in from england the night before and had no sleep for 2 days so she was a little too tired, and we were hungry too
hope to meet you guys at our trance addict party planning tho, that is if we are still planning it

Posted by trancestyles on Dec-20-2001 18:56:

Jester sothis-it's me that you met

I am new on tranceaddict. I was like hmm, it be cool to meet someone on here. Then bam, right away i bump into you . That was cool!!! Wish i could of met the rest of you guys. Is rare to meet people that love trance as much as i do!!! Man tiesto was solid. NOt the best set i have ever seen, but he was good. The crowd loved that guy!!

Saturday nights from 11:00 to 3:00. They actually play some pretty decent tunes usually.

Posted by apri_peel on Dec-21-2001 09:33:

thats actually 10 till 3
and i think fox has or at least used to have a similar show, not sure when it is, prolly sometime on friday or saturday night

usually on velocity (on xfm) they play whole bunch of pretty much everything - house, trance, progressive, and so on and so forth. and then at 2 they have a 'guest dj' spinning, which is just either sets or snipets from albums by some dj. they had digweed and paul oakenfold before. and tiesto's set they played was an actual live set from somewhere, wish i knew where cause it was good

Posted by fastmp3 on Dec-21-2001 09:43:

I listened to it as well. If it was trully live it must have been from Calgary the night before. It was really good but the was alot of older stuff being played.
