big for us tomorrow against liverpool ... although i think with the rise of arsenal and chelsea as premiership forces the united-liverpool rivalry doesnt seem to be what it was till 5 years ago when it was touted as the biggest in europe ... still i think its going to be a cracker .... heinze is out for what looks to be the rest of the season and that is a big blow for the team given he was our player of the year last season ... however liverpool arnt half the team in the EPL that they are in Europe and i think we should come away 2-1 winners ...

are you kidding me ?

it was and it will always be Barca - Real

If Rangers & Celtic were better european teams then that derby would be one of the biggest. Its fan rivalry that makes that fixture such a battle

Barca - real rivalry is mainly due to the fact that barcelona as a city is a symbol of Catalan culture against the spanish roots of madrid... besides that the rivalry is based purely on hate with no respect between the teams...

united -liverpool is a rivalry unlike any other football has seen ... since the world war the only transfer of players between the clubs was back in 1964 ... liverpool dominated football in the 70s and 80s when united were a mediocre club with the largest fan base which remained faithful even when the club got relagated for a year ... since the introduction of the premiership the roles have been reversed and united have enjoyed far more success than the pool... the clubs fear each other just as much as they hate which makes a healthy rivalry based on mutual respect for each other ... but we still gonna fuck the kops tomorrow

some of my favorite anti liverpool chants:

If I had the wings of a sparrow,
The fuckin' big arse of a crow,
I'd fly over Anfield tomorrow,
And shit on the bastards below

He's only a poor little scouser,
His face is all tattered and torn,
He made me feel sick,
So I hit him with a brick,
And now he don't sing anymore

You're a scouser,
A lonely scouser,
You're only happy on giro day.
When your dad's out stealing,
Your mum's drug-dealing,
But please don't take my scouser away.

and ofcourse the all time favorite : YOUR NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE

Hope manu win win today against liverpool !

Posted by raveed on Sep-18-2005 17:40:

not the typical united liverpool match today ... both sides were average at best and although we should be the more pleased team having got an away point at anfield.. chelseas fantastic start to the season has left us 7 points behind although we have a game in hand ... keanes injusry should also be a cause for concern given that we have now lost our defensive and midfield lynchpins within a week for long spells on the sidelines ... this is the perfect opportunity for smith to prove himself as a midfield player and hopefully he will.... dunno but seeing van nistelrooys manner of scoring goals im coming to beleive that hes a big overrated .... he doesnt seem to create his goals but has a knack for being at the right place at the right time for simple tap ins and headers ... although he is more likely to score than not should the ball land at his feer inside the box thats not all whats needed from a world class striker ...

Posted by Yohan on Sep-18-2005 18:19:

Well, it was a gritty game. Lots of mistakes by both team.

Looks like Van der Sar is the goalie Man U was looking for, at least for next 2 yrs anyways.

Would love to see more of Park, but with Ronaldo doing well, he'll have to wait for his chance to run EPL players into ground.

Injury hit Man U scum manage to win against Benfica on last min squeak from van Nielstrooy. Van der Sar has another good game again.

Well, we'll wait until next game to see if Sir Alex gets the boot.

Posted by sensorium on Sep-28-2005 05:34:

Ronaldo spent most of the time laying on the grass.

Ugly goal by the best cherrypicker.

Posted by raveed on Sep-28-2005 06:41:

well that cherry picker is now 3rd on the all time list of top scorers in the champions league and it doesnt matter how he gets them in as long as he does ...

regarding the game ... our defence is still looking shaky and thank the lord we have van der sar between the sticks else the points might have gone the other way ... dunno y fergie thinks that giggs is well past his prime because he puts in good performances every time he plays although i hear its quieroz who apparently selects the team nowdays ... fergie is definately in hot water nowdays and i doubt this result will ease the pressure on him since he still shuns the 4-4-2 which has been the reason for our success over the years .. i still think he knows wat hes doing and hopefully the results will start coming sooner rather than later

van nistelrooy cherry picks because he doesn need to do it the hard way, hes got the skill to make his run and knows where run before the ball is kicked, in other words, he "reads the play". lets say he wasnt there, it would of been cleared. oh well we won thats the important thing.

cheers

It's about what type of goals you would like to watch. Having V. Nistelrooy score lame goals would take away any interest in watching a Man U match.

Winning with finese is more important.

nope its the 3 points that are important although i fully back wengers suggestion to award bonus points for margin of victory ... also i think bonus points for an away win is a good idea

ps: what actually is important is learning how to spell finesse

well im beginning to have a change of heart as far as the irish leprechaun is concerned .... i realize now that the united fan club should have been patient and given glazer atleast a couple of seasons before going on the offensive .... hes a businessman and a successful one at that and clearly wouldnt take out that kind of loan to invest in a club if he didnt see it having a very profitable future ... so hel raise ticket prices a little bit but i guarantee that wont stop the ground from selling out ... some people may not afford to see the games any more and i sympathise with them but business is business .... hes won over bobby chrlton , promised fergie a permanent job as well as a hefty transfer kittty contrary to earlier suggestions of a 25 million pound restriction ....

im still not totally convinced that the glazers were the right men to take over but after hearing their promises ive definately softened my stand a lot and am really looking 4ward to the next couple seasons to see exactly how much success they can bring the club and in the meantime FC united and the rest of those nothing better to do united fans need to seriously chill out and take some psycho therapy

He gonna stab you in the back as soon as leaves with all the money. Like he did in America.

Give Park Ji Sung more mins. He was only on for like 10 mins but he brought some furious pace to midfield and created some chances.

With him and Ronaldo on flanks, Man U can do some damage.

Posted by zoric on Oct-19-2005 21:21:

Lille was pretty good yesterday, Got to say that. But Park has to be given more minutes! I agree with you EvilTree.
