| Originally posted by DOOMBOT I was thinking in perspective of Andy Moor and how HE might feel about his music. It is quite possible that he notices that this bassline works very well for him and his record sales so why not keep using it? He isnt thinking about nitpickers like yourself. |

| Originally posted by DJ Intrigue My 2 cents: If we are strictly speaking about the current Andy Moor sound and productions, then I am quite disappointed. Why? Because he is capable of making much better and more qualified music. I'd venture a guess and say that many of the people in this thread who praise Andy to the highest extent, giving him 11/10 reviews and such, have never heard his older works. With tracks like Dark Amendments, Passenger, Athena, and Violent City I couldn't believe what I was hearing when I took a listen to Halcyon the other day. His older style just seems to have more quality as far as track substance, groove, and melodies are concerned. Halcyon and his newer stuff just seems to fluffy and overdone without any real substance to give the track a push forward. Not to mention the melodies sound like something a 12-year old could make on a Fisher Price or Casio keyboard/xylophone. I guess all the hardcore trancers and "McProg" listeners love this type of sound, but I find it completely cheesy, Nintendo sounding, and definitely forgettable. It's a damn shame too because Andy has the potential to create great music, but chooses instead to produce the sub-standard twinkly music that is all the rage right now. So, cheers to Andy Moor for making decent progressive house like the dirty and driving Dark Amendments and the grooving Passenger, but jeers to the newer stuff and his collaborations with Adamn White and Above & Beyond. |

| Originally posted by RebeL9 I totally agree. all those kiddies just heard Whiteroom and Halcyon and were like "omfgzorz this Moor guy just roxorz arminz show!!!1" then they never heard any of his old stuff which was much cooler, groundbreaking and funkier. And the stuff he made with Tilt as poor. You can really tell that Parks & Wilson miss Quivver. And some of the kids in this thread are hilirous. The argument they use such as "if you dont like it, do it better yourself" is the most childish shit Ive read. Do you ever see a movie director which get bad reviews telling the movie journalists to make a better movie themselves? |

NO so just shut the fuck up with this 5 year old comments. its amazing to see the ppl here who cant simply accept that there are ppl out there who finds their choice of music as shit. |

While I haven't heard much of Andy Moor's older stuff, his remix of Medway - Release for example, is a world away from all the twinkly garbage he's making today. I'd say the same goes for Markus Schulz to a lesser extent. He is capable of making really good stuff, just listen to the Edge Factor productions from the mid 90's or his remix of Billy Paul Williams - So In Love then listen to any of his remixes from mid 2004 onwards. |

| Originally posted by Ory Yeah, it's like people don't go looking for better music. What kind of a limited attention span do you have, seriously? If there wasn't any better music, even I'd listen to all the crap trance that's released today. Thank god it isn't like that. |
