this topic is not only about ableton, its also about tiesto.
topic changes slightly by every post.
i just dont understand why ppl want tiesto to do wut they want him to. is he a puppet? how would u feel if they do that to u? leave him the way he is, even if he sux at mixin(which he kinda does for being #1)

Be Cool!

Ok...if Tiesto ever wanted to degrade himself even more as a musican/dj, he would probably switch over to Ableton..

which considers no Talent just coincidental creativity, Great for people who want to start to lean who to use turntables!

Quick request... Don't bash something if you know absolutely nothing about it.

Tiesto could have all the equipment under the sun but it still wouldnt change the fact hes a huge twat with a massive ego and no real skill in DJ'ing.

Even back in his glory days of Flesh, Urban Train, Sparkles, his mixes at best were lots of mint tunes "beatmatched" - thats it.

Congradulations!!! You just won the TA's most moronic post award. For the next week, you and your family get to make an unlimited ammount of dumb arse posts in the forum(s) of your choice completely free of flaming from people far more knowledgable than yourself.

Not only this, but at the end of this exciting week you get to participate in a re-education programme where a trained professional will help you install and actually open Ableton Live v5 on your home PC and explain to you what the program actually does.

This has been an albeton users announcement.

Watching a DJ play on Ableton is like watching a rock guitar player having a computer do his guitar work, for him, while he waves to the crowd like a cheerleader\idiot\deadmau5. Who wants to see that? Seriously. I'm sorry but if I go see a DJ, I want to see him work for his flawless beats. I don't want to see him just sit there and wave to the crowd, like a cheerleader\idiot\deadmau5, and then push a couple of buttons for silly effects and then click and point for the next tune. I'm sorry but that's just gay... Hell, I can do all that fancy shit, on a tricked out mixer, AND beat match a flawless set. I see Ableton as "training" wheels for noobs who don't know how to beat match and blend properly. Real men use only their God given ears to beat match and blend. Real men don't need "training" wheels when DJing live. Only children\noobs\veteran DJs who lost their faith in their skill in making flawless mixes....use training wheels.....

As long as the result sounds good, who cares? It's not like the computer picks the tracks, cue points, or playlist order for the DJ...

Great bump. Really. 10/10

Maybe I even wouldn't care about who's actually playing as long as I have a good time.

So, Clovis, has Tiesto improved since you made this thread?

Posted by Ted Promo on Feb-22-2009 21:35:

Hey Sam, Tiesto is a ninny. Yeah, I said it -- a ninny.

Agreed, if you like top notch state of the art quality, go to tiesto. If you like vague settings, poor sound, no lights, experimental music, go see sasha

Besides.Abbleton is just a device to steer tracks. Nothing fancy or difficult about it, Just simplifies mixing...............

Thankfully I don't think I've listened to anything remotely even related to him since the time this thread was made.

Actually I did watch that youtube video of where he mixed the Asia CD. lol

Yeah...I think after I watched that I resigned to just let him and his following keep their little fantasy world. Doesn't bother me now.

Posted by Blake_Jarrell on Feb-23-2009 07:06:

clovis is my favorite

Posted by hakudoshi on Feb-23-2009 07:19:

I think he should revert back to 8 tracks. He would be super underground and get mad props from all the haters.

8 Track > *

FAIL.

Posted by Domesticated on Feb-23-2009 09:56:

This thread is hilarious for three reasons:

a) "Clovis86"

b) How much all you idiots suck Clovis' dick now compared to then.

c) Acton effectively saying "you idiot, it's Ableton, not Appleton!"
