Cheers escee. Increase the size of what though, the popup windows or the index? (Bare in mind that the index will not show any information)

Adam Jace pres. Aztek - World Unknown

its dark, its deep, its techy, its melodic, its tribal, its proggy

oh what the hell just give it a listen!

Posted by escee on Jun-02-2004 12:02:

of the whole thing in general. If the index isnt going to hold any information then why bother with popups?

1st post whoo hoo!

will listen when i get home, but just wanna ask what u use to produce or even rmx tracks such as 'missing'...??

looking forward to checking some of ur stuff out!

Posted by Aesthetic on Jun-03-2004 02:53:

jace had a listen to the missing remix, and i might say it is quite professionally done, however, i can only comment on the sound quality and the effort put in production wise since im not into house music.

also onions sample was teh win =)

Posted by jc on Jun-03-2004 06:36:

cheers shellbelle and dave

I do all my sequencing in acid pro, soundforge for mastering and a shit load of sample packs. I also have a Evolution MK361-C midi controller

Ive just got my hands on reason so im starting to learn that slowly

ps. rob, more than happy to send u some cds

The whole site is basically for good looks, and i think the popups do remarkebly well; i have had nothing but positive feedback *touch wood*. How much information can a Dj site possibly hold? I want to attract people to my site with the design of it, not scare them away with "XXX is a hektik techno DJ from Coburg, Melbourne, BLA BLA BLA".

Posted by JulesPLees on Jun-03-2004 08:15:

leave coburg outta this

hide the little tool bar in the pop up windows.. you just need the frame not the minimize, maximize and close buttons. this is easy to do but i forget the html code

agreed. dont know how i missed it.
very nice breakdown

listened to new tune jace. didnt like it
would have liked more subtle melodies.
G, Bb, Eb, C.
those notes tickled my fancy.
play around with em maybe.

Having not touched reason in a few months, I decided to spend an uninspired hour or so in it today, and the result was this, a 13 second loop:

Rob Star - Untitled

Should it be binned? Or should I actually take the time to master it? (I say that to all my tracks)

Or maybe I'll just get wasted drinking this full bottle of Jim Beam which is convieniently sitting right next to me

Hrm, that's strange. There shouldn't be a toolbar in the popup windows;

PHP:

*shrugs*

It's not too bad for starters, but it does need some work

Maybe try adding a countermelody or something...

can't say much about the mixing with the stream quality, but i enjoyed the mix. love the programming actually. espesh at beginning with insomnia and roxanne. demonstrated bit of versatility/funk flavor. i had spirit fingers during symsonic, so i think i'm still a trance whore at heart. now the bad stuff. thought u brought in boomerang too early, n transition between sushi lover and symsonic i didnt think went well together. tone differences.

anyway, nice mix.
start incorporating some spinbacks and turntable stops into ur bag of tricks now

Posted by jizza on Jun-07-2004 13:42:

thanks jay. i can always rely on you for a good matter'o'fact opinion. i appreciate you takin the time to listen and your advice is noted.

EDIT: hmmm could i bother you to perhaps submit a score of some sort. (please, be gentle).

Posted by marsh on Jun-08-2004 16:03:

Self Promotion? Hmm? Well here goes!

Ive been spinning and making Trance for a few years now in the bedroom and at small (and some not so small) parties for a while, and am just getting out into the larger venues. Whilst I have a solid attendance record at events, Im not too well known in the Trance community of Melbourne (planning to change that i.e. this post), so in aid of that: This Saturday June 12th, Im playing at Maximim Volume @ Room 680, and Im excited to be joining the ranks with some of Melbournes finest purveyors of top notch Trance the likes of Steve Strangis, JulesPlees, and the Unify guys.

So if youre not already planning to come, I strongly urge you to come check it out and let me know what you think. Shoot me an email or PM if you need a guestlist spot (or just wanna say hi!) I hope to meet you all soon,

Cheers,

-marsh.
