Vintage PvD!

What can I say other than the fact Paul really laid down an epic journey on friday night. I'm not even gonna call it a set bc Im sure everything he played was on pure instinct and fed off the crowd....3-5am was absolutley a delight in that he gave everyone a chance to collect themselves emotionally before the unbelievable finish!

First time in NYC on Fri and it's something else. It's like a 5x larger version of TO and a shitload more going on because of it. I think it'll be my favorite place in the states (just b/c of that). We (the TOTAs I came with) did a shitload of walking from where we were on 6th and 27th streets I think, down to Canal street back up to near Central Park. The food is wicked, love how you can walk by a convenience storea and pick up beer (we don't have that which SUCKS).
As for PvD @ Roxy, it was goooooooooooood, near the end was just banging. I think I met a few of you but I was just bouncing around all over, never really stayed in once place unless it was where the screens on the right were but a bit further back. I was the one wearing the white "Paul van Dyk Ibiza" shirt. Thanks for the awesome hospitality everyone especially Fran. I will come back soon, next time for longer. a day and a half wasn't long at all.

ok heres my post...
throughout the whole nite i kept saying how he had made up for the debacle that was summerstage was just relentless i mean when he dropped crush i didnt even mind cause i was enjoyin his set when he mixed i can t remember off hand what the song was but he mixed for an angel into it shit was sicc an hearing speed of sound was a treat def his best set since 03 imo roxy never looked better when i first walked in (which wasnt that long bout a 10 min wait an it was after 11) i kept sayin how roxy looked almost like a REAL CLUB i was speachless between the lazers an the tv holy shit its the best i ever seen it tho nov 02 was a close sec when he first came to roxy always a blast seeing friends an meetin new ppl (specially TAs)

only gripes bout it was crowded (which was expected) too hot cause they had the fans off (so u can buy drinks bastids)an he didn t play my circa forever ..... tho he did sign it for me (still i would have taken him playin it over signin it but whatever ) all in all it is either tied with cox or just slightly more to make it the best nite all yr an to look over the back walkway an lookin at the crowd an the setup....unreal well i can say with a straight face ... see u all nxt time paulie comes to town an i ll have circa waitin for him

My only complaint, and I know several other people around me were feeling the same way, would be this: if you have something you want PVD to sign, great. But please, wait for the end of the show. Don't wave your album cover, flyer, etc. in front of his face for three straight hours. . .
I kind of see it as an insult - He's there to play music, not sign your shit. If you have something for him to sign, and you're up front, he see's you. Seriously, did you pay $35 plus to enjoy the music, or get an autograph?? Just wait. Waving it in front of his face must annoy him, because it annoys the shit outta me.

Anywho - just had to put that one out there...

Once again, killer tunes, great system (lights, sound), good crowd (I was right up front w/ plenty of room to dance till my dogs hurt), and an all-together epic night

So I take it u liked his set. Dammit Jay, I knew I shouda came out. FFFUUUCCCKKK. Oh well, im sure I will see him again.

P.S. Come out to Crobar for DT in two weeks with Behrouz. I guarantee sick beats will be dropping all nite. For some reason, he plays good there than any place I have seen him since Arc.

Wow where to begin, i got there around 930 and had to wait to get in around 10:30 or so i think i saw chris luzz but didnt walk up to anyone n say hi, truth is im not sure what many of you look like i did bump into phoenixBEBE and here boyfriend it was nice meeting you for like two seconds haha ... it was sooooooo hot in there and i couldnt find a median it was either freezing outside or hot as hell inside but i didnt care i was covered in sweat and booze it was awesome.. my fav track came in around 5:15 am Whiteroom - Someday (dub version) it blew my motha fuckin sox off so glad i finally got to here it in a club i went nuts on that one.. deff the best tracklist ive heard in a long ass time im so glad i went to this, i was with my boy mike, and it was his first time there he was loving it too.. sorry i didnt bump into more of you it was hard picking people out bc it was so dark n shit .. but i had an amazing time deff my favorite night out in a while... my feet are killing me, my ears are still ringing.. sooooo true... i really hate the huge clubbers who couldn't give a shit about othere people's space.. they just ram through everyone trying to get their shit signed... or they think that if we give room to them for a picture that we've alotted that space to them for the rest of the night. another thing that pissed me off was when people started jumping up and raiding the booth for him to sign stuff.. where were the bouncers? that's disrespect. there's a difference between him seeing you enjoying yourself because of the music and he signs something willingly, and when he signs something for you to get away cuz ur a hazard to his equipment, him and the people around you.

i can't forget pvd's expression when this asshole gave him the vinyl sized poster and pvd signed it, then the dude started yelling "it's mine" over and over. pvd gave this expression and just lobbed it to the guy....that made me laugh, almost like paul saying, "wow, chill out!! here ya go, get away"

other than that, the rolling jackass who kept yelling "yahhh, you're the best, fuck tiesto" over and over ruining every song,and the douche bags who always fight at trance events, i had an awesome time...all you other trancers kick ass... i wish each one of the above mentioned assholes were replaced with the true fans that were denied entrance at the door.

holy mother of GOD I was not feeling that set at ALL!

The bass was WAY too loud. Fuck's sake, I could hear the speakers reverbing; drowning out everything. And 95% of the set was tech. I mean tech is good. But break it up a bit with melody every once in a while, or play a slower tech tune. This was like being at a hardcore rave. I wish Bonham had played all night. I enjoyed Bonham playing Zero- Emit/Collect. That was nice
Wish I had caught more of his set.
