Yea, cause Martin is SUCH an angel...
He was the finance minister during Chretien's reign.
I refuse to believe as the finance minister he didn't know where 100s of millions of dollars was going....
Yea right... |
A finance minister that reduced a 42 billion dollar debt brought on by the Conservative Mulroony government.
The only finance minister to reduce our gdp to debt ration by the drastic amount he did. He did wonders for our economy.. and knew exactly what he was doing.
We are in a surplus.. and its becuase of his actions.
Well done Martin!!

...carried over from the Liberal Trudeau days...
Don't forget that the GST tax was created to handle the mess the former Liberal government bestowed upon them...

I dont recall the conservatives giving a fuck about the recession while they were in power. It was those IDIOTS that fucked us up in 1991.
So how does trudeaus liberals have anything to do with how Martins great accomplishments as finance minister?
I guess we should go all the way back and blame John A Macdonald for things that have trickled down since 1867

If you do recall, all of North America was in a recession at that time. I think that may have just been the business cycle, regardless of who was in power.
Politicians, in general, seem to be from wealthy backgrounds and are not really affected by recessions personally. So they sometimes look ineffective, while "riding it out".
...but it does suck for the rest of us, just not sure what we can do about it.

Um, yea.
Do you remember the creation of the GST??
Do you know WHY it was created??
Cause the Convervatives where left with a big fuckin' debt. with no other way to deal with it.
Oh and guess what the Conservative platform is now?? They want to reduce it. I can't say the same for the fat cat Liberals.
They're leetches and I hope their party goes down in flames.
[EDIT]
...one more thing. The current cry from the Liberals about the reduction in GST is a complete 180 from their platform about abolishing it completely in their election promises last time. Hey guess what! We STILL have it! (BIG surprise...)

I wonder if all the money they're throwing at us right now is from the money they made by keeping it? Geee....let me think about that...
I refuse to be bought with my OWN money!
