maybe only males', cause for me personally, female british accent can be kinda irritating. keira knightley is somewhat good-looking, but i want to throw a brick at her when she starts with "my name is domino harvey".

Besides I think the English in the US is used improperly.

I can't stand cockney/chav/a few northern accents! Don't you think we have horrible teeth or something?

It think it's funny how such a variation of the dialect is shown over such a small area of land in Britain. I mean, you listen to the typical Edinburgh accent (Capital of Scotland for all you noobs) then you listen to the typical Glaswegian( Glasgow, Scotland's biggest city) dialect, and it's completely, completely different, although you can drive to Edinburgh from Glasgow in 30 minutes. The phrases used are different, they're all more pretentious in Edinburgh and they like salt and brown sauce on their chips when we like salt and vinegar! Is it the same between town in America that are only say 50 miles apart?

I like Australians.

In the states, you do see the exact same thing....just distance is a lot further.....People in Boston talk different, than people from New York, but not by much. Now if you go to the South, like Georgia and South Carolina...you would notice a huge difference in the accent and dialect. But yet 4000 miles away on the west coast, people pretty much talk the same as people from the North East.

I think the reason why you have that many dialects in such close proximity, is that the UK is much much older than we are, Dont forget America is not even 300 years old yet,

The American perception of England? Well it's widely accepted that on a scale from North Korea to Zimbabwe, you guys are a Burkina Faso. Not too shabby.
