I just bought Battletoads/Double Dragon a few days ago... two classics in one!

Posted by Tunnel Rat on Apr-14-2006 13:10:

Not a classic....but a hard one to come by anymore is Marvel vs. Capcom for the Sega Saturn. Probably my fav. game of all time.

Someone posted a mention of rivalries for Super Mario Kart (which is another great game probably in my top 3), not only did this game create rivalries against the other person but also against their favorite combos of fighters.

So many hours wasted in high school playing that gave when I'd get home!

Loved it!!! HAHAHA so much fun... I loved the simple gay-ass tunes... so repetitive and basic, but so much fun! I can hear them in my head now! LOL... and waiting for a Lemming to blow itself up! YESSS!!

uh-oh! BOOM!!!

Hehehe

Jem

dunno if you guys played it, but "the HUMANS" for Sega Genesis.

it was kind of along the same lines as lemmings, but in a bit of a different way.

I'm glad I was born just before the NES era started (1979). Kids these days have no idea how good these "classics" were. They may not be technically superior, but some of them, even to this day, are better than what comes out now. There are just too many to list.

I just got Super Mario All-Stars off ebay. If anyone likes the Super Mario series and doesn't have this, you're missing out!

Btw, the singing video was awesome.

Kids these days aren't willing to play a game unless it's the complete package, that means graphics, sound, and gameplay. Unfortunately, they're only willing to give a game a chance if it first has great graphics and sound. Because of this, most of today's golden games aren't even known until they're near-impossible to get ahold of. Luckily, there's still a little company around called Nintendo.

Nintendo still has it in them to make good games, they just have a bad public image as being a company catering to little kids and girls. If people would put down their PS2 and X-Box's for a few minutes and actually PLAY some of Nintendo's games, they'd see that good games still exist. The DS is an amazing little machine. And Nintendo's "quick to learn, impossible to master" formula make their games some of the absolute best out there.

Without actual links to play any of these games.. this thread means nothing to me.

Also.. Super Mario 3 owns!!
