Furthermore, I believe I said "most" which clearly implies that I am not "bashing everyone." There is no "maybe." He was a good person.

And, last but not least, how would your mother, gf or sister feel coming across a thread like the one that I just read? One in which not only are your death and the possible causes of it, not only a source of amusement but also one of debate? How would your dad, bf or brother feel to see people type that because you had typed something snotty to them, they didn't care that you had died? That your death was meaningless because, at least, they wouldn't have to deal with your annoying posts, anymore?

I realize that many of the people on here are aware how anonymous the web is. It feels safe to say or do something that you would never admit to if your grandparents could hear you. I get that. But think of his granparents. They will never hold him to them, again. And you are worried about a stupid thread?

And you know what? Sometimes people don't behave the way we would like them to. Does that make them any less a person?

Only one side of his personality was shown here hence the hate you may have perceived in the replies.

Online personas are what you make of them, Dick Renegade had a bad one and he "suffered" the consequences after his death.

Would it have made you feel better if we made threads making fun of his death saying that he deserved what he got?

I am not worried about a stupid thread. How you come here now bashing the people and the boards here is similar to him. You already have a preconceived notion of anything related to tranceaddict. He came across the same way to us. When he first started it wasnt very good. For all I know you are a good person, funny and loving. But do your posts show that?

No.

Think of it reversed now. Do you see how nothing 'good' of the person can be based on posts?

this reminds of something I read a while back. I believe it was on someones blog or something of sorts perhaps a magazine article?

The person ( female I believe ) went over the creation of new life extensions by way of the internet, forums and blogs. This mass of material gets built over time yet unpreserved and usually lost the minute it has been posted.
In the future it would be good for families to take into account these online lives of the deceased ones. Maybe make books, use some quotes ... at least not put all that to waste.

I am sure many of you will laugh at the very basic idea of that, but in Dick Renegades case it would be good for his family to maybe never see what he was like online ... they would be very disappointed.
