ps if ur 19 and looked good they wouldve let u in, the 23 thing is just so they dont have to tell ppl 'ur ugly'

and asshole bouncers attract the right kind of ppl in terms of $$

Treated as if you are going to an all ages rave? No what these people are expecting is to be treated nicely as they are customers that are oh...I don't know PAYING MONEY?!?

A club is a business, a business requires some amount of customer service. Bouncers shouldn't be treating the club's CUSTOMERS like a piece of dirt. Also when they state the age as being 21 and then change it to 23, people tend to look at this inconsistency (which may or may not be because of management...who knows, maybe the bouncers have power control issues) and affiliate it with the club. The nightclub industry is all about reputation....when people have a bad image of your club and it's staff, they will tell their friends....who tell their friends...and so on. What does that lead to? No customers.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about so do us all a favour and kindly shut the fuck up.

Life isnt all peachy...
What is supposed to be the way things work isnt always.
I've been reading you guys complain about this club for awhile, yet it still seems always packed and the same people that complain still try and go.Sounds like the bad reputation is paying off and not threatening the club at all to me.

the thing u have to understand about smaller clubs is that they cant bring in 2,000 people, so they have to either let in people that are willing to spend a lot of money or people that attract people that are willing to spend a lot of money. they dont care about being nice to the younger crowd because those people wont spend as much on drinks
as the 25+ crowd. put on a little black dress and some cartier and see how you get treated.

relax people.

you know they have this thing called "face control". if they don't like you for some reason they wont let you in and there's nothing you can do about it (unless you know the owner or something). no matter how many times you bitch it's not gonna work out so don't kill your nerve cells (from a kinesiology stand point of view, i'd state how important it is) and dont kill your night. instead just go to some other club, there is more than one especially where TIS is located. i know it sux that they treat you like that and all but there's nothing you can do. in europe they have face control and if they don't like your face then you're not getting in! simple as that. in moscow i couldn't get into this club b/c they thought i was from chechnya (there was a war between chechnya and russia for a while) even though it states on the passport that i was born in moscow but i have this southern look and they are very careful with getting ppl like that into clubs and other parts in moscow b/c of all the terrorist acts that were done by the "gorskis" (ppl from the mountains). anyway, i was too pissed off that i coulnd't get in even though local russian villagers were getting in but if i was gonna start something with them, they'd probably kill me on the spot. as simple as that. i just want to say that here in canada, it's totally different as oppose to other parts of the world. you don't get in here, you have the right to mouth off and probably nobody will do anything to you. but if you were gonna do that some place else, you'd probably get shot. anyway, the point is: SAVE YOUR NERVE (GLIA) CELLS!!!!!! Trust me, you'll need those later in life!!!

now enjoy the rest of this beautiful sunday! listen to some trance! it'll calm you down! I suggest ASOT 232. Very melodic and uplifting

at that old montreal insititution sona they used to have a circular velvet rope...and the bouncers picked and chose..and that was one top notch afterhours club!

time is also picky at times...although in my eyes its stock has fallen considerably over the past few yrs

and that is what made Sona the place that it was...
Always a great vibe inside while the sketchpads were told to go away.

i miss sona like there was no tomorrow...

when they opened Sona V2 it didnt last because they were less selective about clientele and the older regulars abandoned the place.

I honestly wont go to TIL... because well, I'm 19, and the age is 21 and I really don't think it's fair that just because I'm a girl, I could go into this place.....rules are there and I really have no desire to break them.

It's not the rules that bother me....I could care less about a style code or age limit. It's these stories of inconsistency that keep popping up.

inconsistency is part of life, the sooner u deal with that truth, the less pissed off you'l be down the road

inconsistency = being late for work one morning coz there's was a suicide bomber on the train

but inconsistency is NOT a sudden change of age limit from 21+ to 23+, that's just bollocks.

c'est la vie

Is someone who is 19 complaining that the age was changed from 21 to 23 without due notice?
(I can't be bothered to read all 13 pages of this thread)
