| Originally posted by Floorwhore Bro, i never said i was against EDM happening during the day. Infact, the experience I had in MTL at Piknic Elektronik was one of the best i've had (Sunday party, outdoors, in a park starting at noon). My point (if i was trying to make one) is that if you want to see a big headliner in Toronto, suck it up, take a nap before you go out, and expect it to be bright and sunny when you leave. Nightclubs are the ones shelling out the $$$$ to bring these dj's in, so they tell us when the dj plays. This has become 'the norm' in the industry, and I honestly dont see it changing, ever. |

| Originally posted by obe I'm not advocating the use of K, but I don't think misinformation does anyone any good either. Here's a quote from a Health Canada publication from Feb. 2004. Link to the full publication. "Ketamine is a non-barbiturate anaesthetic approved for use in both humans and animals." |

there are reasons headliners dont open.No matter how much you guys want this to change it wont.An owner puts the headliner on first and he will have a half empty club when the set is over and make no money.I just cant believe this thread is 10 pages long. The original post in this thread was very well written and intended to help those who can accept hearing these things. The reality is simply that wanting to quit is not enough, you have to be READY to quit.A few very wise words in this thread, but a few people are pushing their opinions around like they are the only meaningful ones.No one likes bible thumpers.
^^^i dont remember anyone mentioning that headliners should open

i think this thread has gotten a little off topic...
i believe that it was about drug abuse...
and drug abuse doesn't just happen at parties...
tyring to place the blame on "headliners hitting the deck too late" isn't really relevant in a thread like this..
and day time parties don't make any difference in the drug use from what i've heard
( aka Comfort Zone, Boat Parties etc)
Nikitha
PS. this isn't a cheap shot going out to the CoZo or anything... i'm just using it as an example of day time partying

Nathan/ Joe and Fab and Joee Cons at Zone are unbelieveable. Sometimes when guv sucks and the music isn't right at a certain club on saturday night, i look forward to the beats at CZ. its just awesome aside form the sketchiness |
I love how when I go party sober and I meet some new people, they ask me if I'm on anything(which is okay), but when I say No they're like "WHY NOT?"

| Originally posted by obe Absolutely agree! And this is totally on topic because, for me, I have trouble pulling all nighters without drugs and I've pretty much given up on them except for fav djs, but lately I've been hitting CoZo on Sunday mornings. I have a good nights sleep and show up at about 8a.m. No greasing the bouncer to bypass the line cuz there is no line at that point. Now I've got loads of energy cuz I just woke up. The music can NOT be beat and I find the crowd alot better than at the Guv. Everybody is there to dance, not pick up. Anyhow, I just find this alot easier on my system cuz I'm not fighting to stay awake. It also leaves my sleep patterns intact. I'm not saying I'm always sober when I'm there, but it takes alot less to keep me going. obe |

oops I posted this in the wrong thread first. It goes here LOL (stupid wine)
I wonder if anybody reading this thread is taking their alcohol consumption into consideration as well. It's just as much a drug, no?
