British mostly has old planes that havent been updated in a while but they are cheaper than Virgin so you get what you pay for just dont take the 767 from JFK to Manchester scary as fuck Iberia: Worse than Alitalia they would lose the Statue of Liberty if they had it in their cargo American Airlines: AA is always a good bet but its prices can be high but then if you find a deal that suits you for them its probably the best out there Jet Blue: Great concept but Ive found it to be full of rednecks and families of 12 or more EasyJet for you euros: Some planes will be full of chavs if leaving or going to the UK. Cheap but you dont get anything for it more like a bus or public transit but you know that going in so its all good and great prices AeroSvit: Probably one of the best airlines Ive been on. Flys from JFK to Ukraine direct and if you book ahead on that flight you can get first class for 650 dollars A STEAL!!! Wonderful service and wonderful flight attendents United: Probably my favorite american airliner. Only used it for domestic travel in the states and has been wonderful. More people should use them IMO KLM: I loved this airline but its home base in Amsterdam has some of the most ridiculous security in the world if you ask me. I must had gone through 6 check points but that hasnt anything to do with the airliner...KLM gets an A and since they own or the other way around Northwest they get an A too USA3000: Best undiscovered airliner out. Flys to Fort Lauderdale and other places from NYC for 49 dollars at times each way! No one knows about it. Its you and the crew sometimes like it was for me last WMC AeroMexico: 2 bad experiences on it. One the flaps failed to retract in landing so we had to circle for 45 min until it did not too cool; second time delayed 2 hours on the tarmat in Cancun and not able to go back in the airport due to some customs bullshit  TAP Portugal: Loved this airliner one of my favs to get to Europe from the states wonderful service always on time and they have your luggage!!! SAS: Sorta sucked cuz they ran out of food right after takeoff how the fuck does that happen but the return trip was class there are more but I cant think of them at this moment. Plus my opinions vary as now I have so many miles on most of these carries I just get free upgrades to business or first Also I always look at the different groups. I've only flown recently on Jet Blue To the Wmc and on Southwest to BWI.
Southwest is very easy to deal with and I like flying out of TF Green Airport which is in Providence Rhode Island and closer to my house than the beast of Logan Airport in Downtown Boston. The one thing I don't like about Southwest is the first come first serve seating policy. The staff was very friendly and bookings were simple.
Jet Blue however takes the cake with the cheap fares and tv's for every seat. It made a world of difference on that flight from Boston to Miami and the return trip.
i have flown a lot as well:
-american- hate them. had a two hour delay leaving LA. i was in a pissy mood after just flying from sydney to LA and then the flight was delayed b/c something was leaking. they couldnt tell us any information for a while. they didnt even know if they had a flight for us that day!
-delta- had good experiences with them. i do not like their staff in the atlanta airport.
-US air- cant stand them. had my first flight with them. plane landed 4 hours late. there was a storm and we had to circle. then they were running low on fuel. yes i know the weather isnt their problem, but when the captain gets on the intercom and says 'we have a problem'. then pauses for a few mins, you kind of get a little nervous. all he wanted to say was we have to land for more fuel.
-lufthansa- great experiences
-KLM. flown with them a lot. as somone else said northwest is partners with them. last time i flew with them i was moving back from germany, i had A LOT of baggage, so i paid extra to have it come back with me. so i had three bags. they lost one of them. the one with all myy underwear in it. KLM was really nice and i went out and bought more, until i got my luggage back. they compensated what i spent, which was nice. but i was pissed that i had to pay extra for a bag that didnt get there until three days later.....northwest wasnt so understanding about that.
-british airways- love this airline. and they have good food at least. didnt have a problem on the JFK to manchester flight. but yes their planes are outdated.
-virgin atlantic- by far my favourite airline. great service, i love the afterdinner drinks they serve after a meal. and this is in economy class. have flown with them to a few times to england and south africa. pleasant trips both times
-south african airways- i did not like this airline at all. was so cramped. who knows maybe it was the heavy woman that smelled awful from botswana or the group of christian teenagers making a lot of noise that makes me dislike this airline.
-jet blue- flew them once- nice airline.
-qantas- nice airline, my second favourite. i passed out on a flight and the flight attendants were really helpful and nice.
-jet star (australian cheap airline)- nice and cheap.
-ryanair- nice and cheap, but i do not like the out of the way airports they fly to.
-germanwings- nice and cheap, make sure to buy when there is a sale. i felt when i flew them the airports they flew to were not out of the way. flew to prague, helsinki, vienna and stuttgart with them.
-easy jet- cheap, but out of the way airports.
Air Jazz (owned by Air Canada): over priced, cramped cabins, never had any delays.
Horizon (owned by Alaska Airlines): decent prices, free drinks including a nice selection of beer (they only fly for 50 mins to their furthest destination), nice staff, on time, limited flights.
British Airways: great customer service, never lost my luggage, food is good, never had any delays, resonable prices, lots of destinations.
Iberia: friendly staff, let me stay in their executive lounge at Heathrow once!, fleet is border line out dated, a bit on the pricey side.
Spanair: friendly staff, on time, plenty of food (they offered me thirds once), they put a blanket on me while i was sleeping.
SAS: by far they are my FAVOURITE airline to travel with, great seat sales, HOT staff, great customer service from the check-in counter all the way to the baggage handlers, excellent in-flight entertainment, all the drinks you can handle and great selection of Scanadinavian food, huge EDM selection!!! a definite plus to us TA'ers, lots of leg room (I'm 6'2), lots of destinations, oh did I mention you go through Copenhagen Int which has to be the Hottie capitol of the world.
