I dunno man, last 16 (50% of all teams in) or quarter finals (25% of all teams in) doesn't seem very impressive to me... So there's 6 out of 17, of which one in recent history...
That's nowhere near a good reason to say Germany is gonna make it this year. I'll admit, teams might be more motivated when playing at home, but if you don't have it in you you're just not gonna make it.

lol, well this isnt some rival issue or anything... id pick argentina, italy, portugal or france over germany (and england for that matter) I'm just surprised by the outcome of this poll (except for the obvious Brazil)
but hey, we'll see
There are far more people from England than Portugal on those forums, the same goes with a couple of other teams.
guess who was the first hosting country that got knocked out in the groupstage ? ...
damn that was a EC, but you can still guess

What a suprise, brazil gets the most votes
My vote goes to brazilia lol
thank you

Itd be a huge dissappointment if Brazil didnt make it to the second round.
Theyre going to kick ass.

It's all about people on the board and where they are from..
Brazil, no doubt. I don't like to watch football (only like to play), but all teams looks bad. I always root for Brazil. They have team full of great players. I remember when i was a kid i saw match Brazil Vs All stars. Pele left match in second half. Brazil lost 2:1. Was amazing match. Since i root for Brazil.
Good luck Ronaldinho & Co
So, now that we have seen all 32 teams play a single game, any changes of opinion?
I still think Brazil has something extra than all other teams, but i'm not completely sure they'll win the title - they're stronger but not by much. Argentina, Spain and Italy confirmed they are next in the list of favourites. Czech Rep surprised me by doing a fantastic game and could go far. Holland looked a bit too dependent in Robben but also have the quality. England, Germany, France and Portugal weren't very convincing.
One thing pisses me off - how all the exciting teams are schedulled to knockout out other early. Brazil's group vs Italy and Czech Rep group is the biggest example of it - one of these 3 teams won't be in the quarters. By contrast, out of the 8 unimpressive teams in groups A and B, 2 will be in the quarters.
There's only one upset, Sweden vs. Trinidad & Tobago.
The rest of the top teams won their games.
Will be interesting to follow a couple of other groups now that we're starting off at matchday 2.
Czech will reach the semis i think. Great performance they put.
I guess it is still too early.
if i had to place a bet i'd go with argentina
anyone but brazil
