i didn't think Jewish people lived in Wisco! but yes... i'd love to try some. Einstein and Panera bagels are such shit compared to real good bagels.

i have to agree with Vlad here... Dunkin Donuts bagels are gross. in fact, they are so gross that i threw one out of a moving car one time because it tasted so terrible.

edit // but NY doesn't have the best of everything. i've never had a good brat in NY!!

flounder with butter, dill, and toasted almond slivers is also quite delicious.

ohh that flounder sounds good..I would have never thought of almond slivers. Maybe butter is the trick with fish.. now I'm all excited! I still think our Baptist pot-luck would blow Rachel Ray outta the water.

Who allowed you to interrupt a discussion on really good food with a cuisine that has a daily lunch special menu.

Wow, good story. Nobody eats cold pizza when drunk / hungover.

Posted by lcid on May-18-2006 15:15:

cold sesame noodles and hot and sour soup are the 2 things i always order at chinese restaurants... it's kind of a tradition my mom and dad had when they were living in NYC. they always judged how good the place was based on those 2 items.

Next time you get coerced into it this is what you order: Steamed Chicken w/ Broccoli and Garlic Sauce on the side - usually it comes with a small thing of white rice, ask for brown rice since its healthier. Dip the chicken/broccoli in the sauce, and its good eating.
