We all go through this, we hear the same shit day after day then get online or go to some obscure venue in hopes of finding something different and exciting, is it really such a problem that people find armin different and exciting compared to what they were previously exposed to? If you get bored of it you can branch out to something different but why be such a party pooper to all those that you leave behind?

There is plenty of great 2006 music, I lost a giant heap of it in a hard drive failure last month . I agree that it isn't coming out of ASOT and that armin's camp is getting really poppy and unexciting, but you can't force kids to stop enjoying things if they like them. I guess we are falling into this trap that makes us think all people who like armin are being sheep and we just can't accept the fact that a bunch of people genuinely prefer his music.
9 out of 10 dentists would agree!!!

Of course, music taste is always something highly subjective, but I'm perfectly entitled to my opinion that 1993 trance is 10 times better than current trance, thank you.

UnWorldly: i agree that it's pointless to be a music missionaire, and i don't think anyone questions that the Armin fanboys listen to him because they genuinely like him. At a point he used to be my favourite dj, i know why they like him!

But the way some of them get all mega-defensive at any criticism is hilarious. Hey, they're claiming we all secretly listen to ASOT and just pretend we don't like it cause of jealously! I think we're perfectly entitled to make fun of them when things reach that point.

im still wondering which track from this year stands taller than the "older" Li Kwan-Point Zero...produced in 1993...but hey thats my opinion

Of course, it�s only an opinion. So if someone more or less directly presents this opinion (very often in a negative and unconstructive way) in almost every thread, it�s really annoying. Like UnWordly said, those people think they can play some messiah-role or something..

Its ok you like Li Kwan-Point and other stuff from 1993. Keep playing them over and over again for as long as you want, till year 2016 if you like. Go ahead and make Appreciation threads for them if you want and post nice stuffs, pics and love hearts in it.

But the point I want to make is, dont jump in into any other thread with Armin, Tiesto name on it and start bashing other people for not liking Li from 1993 and make a fool out of yourself in the process.

No, we'll just do what we do each week, listen to whatever we want to, and not be surrounded by fanboys. You make it sound like we actually care that people like ASOT, we don't, it's their perogative to do so, but it's ours to listen to sounds that we find fulfilling ourselves.

Actually my first post here was to somebody who gave a very biased pro-bigname dj opinion, which I responded to. The problem is that the moment any of the people who're known to have different tastes post, they're labelled haters, even if their replies are to reply to ignorant comments like those I first replied to from starboy.

Carrying on from this, I saw a point wrong from paulandrews who has since corrected what he was saying, it looked wrong, so I proved him wrong. After this, I get bitched at by kids like purple because I dare post in a thread on a free forum where anybody with an opinion has a right to be. Anything thereafter has just been answering accusations & questions placed, to which if myself & others don't post, the place would just end up as a fanboy movement.
