You're right about Montreal though...their parties typically last until about noon. The Cream party will be in Montreal on Labour Day weekend. Check out the MLTA forums, I'm not sure if anything is up yet. But both Ferry & Armin are playing both parties. Armin will be in the KH first and Ferry in Montreal, then Ferry will come to the KH and close the night and Armin will go to Montreal. So no hope for a b2b surprise special

Should be going to this as well. Hard to beat Armin and Ferry together, plus Deep Dish and Junkie. Always wanted to go to the Guvernment. Only been to the Docks before and it was nice. The people were pretty chill.

Its gonna be weird without Deep Dish closing....they do almost every year....

And what Lisa is true, whoever is playing at the KH and ends at 9pm-ish....as soon as you here the applause for that particular DJ, you literally have to RUN to the guv if you want to continue the party. (and get ALL of your money worth). KH closes and unless you want the rest of your party out on the sidewalk (or other places) get you ass to the guv for the closer!!

FYI Ferry is closing the KH. The only problem with that for me is that I would want to be up there front and centre and try to score a chit chat afterwards...but if I want to get in to the Guv I'd have to stay by the doors

hmm im trying to make plans but i found out on Friday night that my mom wants to go to Hawaii September 9th for 3 weeks (thats a week AFTER the LOL weekend), not that it conflicts with Labour Day Weekend but i WILL be out of cash for those 3 weeks that im in Hawaii (remmeber, im still a temp) Goddamns. just trying to save as much as possible so taht I can still make it to LOL. cannot MISS Ferry & Armin!!

...but in the meantime...taking any donations to 'Getting Alyssa to LOL' fund. well at least a CHEAP way up there. Will contribute to gas and food and tolls...won't mind sleeping on the floor (or the sofas in hotel lobbies, for that matter ahah) as long as I have access to a shower. rofl. and to add to that, i think im a pretty fun person to chill with ahha . too bad this isnt miami, where u can sleep on the beaches after partying. lols.

That really sucks I guess there will be no meeting our DJ's (I won't be meeting my #1 Armin, (I am assuming since they will be hauling his ass off to Montreal ASAP after his set...) I cry......

Lyss I think they do that bc the Guv is the only room open after 8 or 9 am (I forget the exact time). I think they do this because they can not fit all those people just into the guv.Easy fix? Keep all the rooms open till 12. Will that happen? Prolly not.

PS: Hawaii for 3 weeks sounds fabulous. I dunno if I could give that up for one night in toronto....but for my own personal selfishness I hope you come LOL

don't know all that much about him, but read on his site that desyn is scheduled to play at Guv. on sept. 3rd - thus LoL. Add that to the mayhem, also what is the deal with KH closing while Guv. remains open/closes later and do we know who would be closing guv.?

ok, I am not one to usually bitch about people not reading the threads, but jeeez. Desyn was mentioned ohhh about forever ago, and we have already discussed the Guv being the only room open at 9am. There is not really any reason for it, execpt maybe easy cleanup of the other rooms, and yes, it inconvenient for most of the people there.

a double mistake on my part, made even worse by the fact that I read the thread like a week ago. Sorry guys.

I made it though and that's all that matters....2 and a half weeks in Hawaii followed by an immediate reunion with my friends at Labour of Love and then a nice relaxing couple days chillin' out with my boys in Toronto.

hopefully its somwhere walking distance from guv...i rem we stayed at a hotel right near guv 2 years ago, think it was calld the novotel..but they overcharged us a shitload cuz we were loud or some shit...but uh im pretty sure we wanna avoid that hotel.

Oh man, last summer was a nightmare. I had a stop over on the way back from Hawaii (the day OF Labour of Love) and there was a HUGE storm so the plane was mega delayed. My ride from Windsor was leaving without me I got a hold of Josh (Shanny) and he called everyone we knew in Windsor and got someone to wait for me to get home (I was flying into Detroit). I got home, we booked it to TOronto, got ready and left! Made it JUST on time!!

I started crying on the plane and my mom was like "Lisa it's just a party" and I'm like "no...you don't understand...it's THE party!"

hahah I remember you giving me that EXACT quote at the party last year!! You looked hot last year btw, with the tan and the bright shirt.....oh-la-la!! eat your heart our cale


sot: where I used to stay back in the day was "Quality Hotel Downtown" which is right downtown, easy to get too from the QEW, and a 5 minute taxi to the guv....its located on Jarvis and King, like 3 blocks off the QEW. hope you guys make it! have you ever been or are you a virgin?? lol

i went to LOL in 04, stayed with lyss, drew, brian, joey and briana at the novotel..was awesome. guv is one of my fav clubs period. those lasers in correlation to the sound is amazing. definitely looking forward to this.

Hahahaha, it was totally the party he fell for me at! We sat down during like 2 hours of Armin's set just talking.

I was looking at pictures not so long ago and I was as dark as Nada. Oh....what I would give to be that dark again.

yeah that shit WAS hella AWESOME...i just hope they bring out the LASERS in full-force at this year's LOL...im not sure why but in 2004 I don't remember LASERS in the main room, esp when Sander was on. then again I left halfway through his set, and ran to KOOL HAUS just in time to catch Mark Oliver throwing down a sick remix of Beastie Boys "Fight For Your Right (To Party)" -- then of course FERRY/NU NRG/INFUSION --- omg that triple threat was CRAAAAZY

The Novotel was aiite...i thought it was a lil expensive though -- then again i totally SWEAR by the Courtyard Marriott (its near Eaton Center). I think if the NYTAs are gonna go up, we should all stay in a huge hotel (affordable if we can help it). Something like the Novotel but less expensive. ahha. def *NO* RAMADA I think the TAS i went up with during Canada Day can certainly attest to the ghetto-ness of that hotel and that street.
