Horrible play by us. We deserved to loose this game. Our attacking attempts in the 2nd half were pathetic and fruitless. Horrible ref too. What a joke

even though its a mistake that is understandable given the fact the flags are almost the same and they wear the same jersey colors as us.

why did Kuyt get to play the whole game again? not seen him do anything decent at all in any of the holland games i've seen. holland have themselves to blame. all they did in the 2nd half was lump long balls into the field. i was hoping for them to win untill Heitinga said fuck off to fair play.

the worst thing is that most, if not all, the cards were correct haha

Ok so we didnt win... It was still one of the most entertaining and football match i've ever seen. And congrats to Figo. He should get an Oscar nomination for his great act. Goodluck to Portugal when they play against England, with all the yellow & red cards they have

Because Van Nistelrooy didn't play well the last couple of matches. And Van Basten could choose between Kuyt, Babel and Vennegoor of Hesselink who got to play too.

Whats more shocking was how dirty portugal played.

Every foul was nearly given a yellow card. Its a world cup 1/4 final, you expect players to get agressive at first and be hyped up.

THe more yellows he gave, the more pissed off thep layers got. His job is too calm people tempers, he just made it 10 times worse.

I thought the referee did a pretty good job, actually.

That was an incredibly entertaining game from a neutral perspective, and it was one of the craziest World Cup games that i have ever seen.

Of course, the referee missed a few things (like the foul on Robben in the box), but that was very hard to call. I think that all of the cards that he gave were fair enough, and the players only have themselves to blame. The first red card (from two yellows) was definitely the right decision. That guy was lucky not to have been sent off five minutes earlier for a foul anyway.

Van Basten did not do a very good job today IMO. Where the hell was Van Nistelrooy?!! Instead of bringing on his best striker, he waited until 20 minutes before the end to bring on another midfielder. Stupid decision.

LMAO, what a crazy game.

this was an ugly game for sure, but it was the most entertaining match this WC for sure for me... to see so many mad players on the field is just something special and only to laugh at.... actually it was a really good and fast match beside the fights aswell!

sucks for holland ofcourse.. but if we ignore the fightings and look at how well the taems played, then imo.. both portugal and holland deserved to go to the quarter finals... england will get hardly beaten by the portugals, and the dutchies would have kicked their asses aswell imo
