Deep dish gets worse and worse and worse, although PATT was a fun song, and i did enjoy the axwell remix of dreams, if one of their sets that contained half the energy of a prydz set i would be flabbergasted

edit: i see you have prydz in your signature. that explains your bias

It sounds like he uses Ableton live because his beatmatching is seemless? You like djs to trainwreck? I don't get it

This coming from the person with 'stevsto' as a username ... grow up ffs

Posted by iammesol on Sep-26-2006 00:01:

first of all... you can't sound like Live... what if i said "he sounds like turntable!!!"

second of all... if you really think Hawtin, Fancuilli and Vth spin at a fast tempo... you're retarded.

Posted by stevsto on Sep-26-2006 00:24:

what is up with people telling me to grow up because of my screen name, yet i get name calling like saying im retarded because i think vath, hawtin play higher tempo sets? I didnt say fanciulli played higher tempo, i said if I want to listen to house, meaning slower tempo like prydz, then id rather listen to kleinenberg, deep dish, or fanciulli. go back and reread what i wrote, please.

so hawtin and vath do not play higher tempo than prydz, and im retarded for thinking so? excuse me for being inferior to you iammesol, but i haven't busted out a clipboard and pencil and counted the beats of each and compared them to know for certain. but it definitely sounds like prydz plays slower than them. i like slower tempo stuff too, i just dont think prydz is as good as many other house acts. sorry i touched a sore spot.

what i meant by that is he sounds like he used ableton live in that set. thats actually a compliment to his mixing skills. however, it ends up making the set boring imo.

Posted by iammesol on Sep-26-2006 00:32:

Well I apologize for laughing atcha' then... I've nothing against you

oh... and you can bash Prydzy or the rest of the mafia all you want. I'll probably join in on some good ole' Steve Angello bashing

Good mixing makes sets boring. You learn something new everyday!

Trainwrecking makes it interesting. The anticipation of whether or not the next mix will make it kills me. Literally.

i remember years ago when prydz started getting hype, so of course i had a wisten, and it was ehhh. so now I check out this set, hoping things have changed. nope. sounds exactly the same as he did years ago. he sounds like ableton live. these types of djs, that are really good at seamless mixing, always generate big hype and respect on message boards.

What is wrong with being good at mixing seamlessly?

First Tiesto gets bashed for not mixing seamlessly and now Eric Pridz gets bashed for doing so?

if you listen closely, you can hear prydz slip a little here and there.

OH NOEZ.

he's awesome

I'm not saying Prydz was or is trance is there anything in there that actually means that I did?

Posted by stevsto on Sep-27-2006 15:20:

and im not saying seamless mixing is boring. some djs are flawless mixers but also keep the set interesting and full of energy, this set is not one of them.

Posted by thesuperfunk on Sep-27-2006 15:34:

tbf it's pretty hard to judge that from a 30 min set in which prydz blatantly plays for exposure.

Posted by Scolomon on Sep-27-2006 18:13:

some djs are also decent even though there mixing sucks
like tom novy
