I have a feeling it will be like DuMonde though. I remember hearing around a year ago that they broke up, yet who headlined the Docks NYE party?
From an interview on TranceUnited:

quote:
tranceUNITED:
You went solo in 2005. Does this mean the end of NU-NRG? Why did you take this step? NU-NRG has been so successful for so many years. Will we see NU-NRG again in the future?
Giuseppe:
Actually we took a break from the end of December 05 and I dont know how long it will be, sincerely speaking I dont believe so much that NU NRG will take a place on the music scene again.

Andrea wanted to go the techno route, Giuseppe is more of a trance guy.

I'd be surprised if they got back together, especially with all of the success Giuseppe is having.

I really regret not being able to see them perform live.

m2j: the above have also played here on multiple occasions the past 2-3 years. i believe Phynn has played here too tho not 100%. he was at the Godskitchen SunDance Festival in MTL this summer.

damn... hope they come back soon!

and yea, Phynn had Toronto posted on his site to play the day after or b4 SunDance... but on his site it said "@TBA" and never got updated. Either it was a party that was not promoted at all, or the booking got cancelled.

oh and one dj I totally forgot to mention in my previous post: Subfocus!

I always see threads on who people want to see come to Toronto and I just can't stand that there is always the usual suspects in those lists that have been here once, if not 500 times. So, I thought it would make sense to have this thread since I know everyone has one or two DJ's in mind that they have no idea why they have not been booked here yet. Here she goes....

Sean Tyas- Big room sound. Would love to hear him in the KH or docks main room, just destroy the place.

Aly & Fila- Best Trance DJ's around, can't sell it more than that.

Nicholas Bennison- Pretty sure he hasn't been here yet. Like I was telling Trancegrooves, it's J00f's psy basslines vs. Christopher Lawrence's Tech Trance magic.

Leon Bolier- Another one of Intuition's promises, can't go wrong with his variety of tracks. Very underated DJ who could spin a whole set of his productions/remixes and it would cover 3 or 4 sub genre's which shows versatility.

Nikola Gala- Incredible productions over the past couple of years. He has that Ibizan progresive sound that is very melodic, euphoric. Seeing him in the winter time would save me $1000000 of going to another continent.

Niklas Harding- Heard only good about the live performance and his recorded sets back it up. Would appeal to both House and Trance lovers.

Hydroid- I'm not so sure how well his sound would work in the club, but he has produced some of the most beautiful progressive music I've ever heard so it's worth a shot.

I caught a bit of it only. Downloaded it and listened to it... Might still be available on his site. (I think a link is posted somewhere on TA...)

It's posted in the actual download section on the main page of TA, not in the forums. Shame he came on at 5:45 that night, everyone was gone practically. I met him that night, he tried to get me on stage cause it was too loud when we were talking near the speaker and the anal bouncer that was guarding the stage wouldn't allow me on. Seemed like a really nice guy and I wish a set like that would be spun to headline a big event at the guv since it had so many PVD old school sounds to it which is what everyone is begging to see.

He's played in Kool Haus before.

Nov 2003. Oakenfold was in Guvernment, Mauro Picotto was also in KH with him.

Deko-ze opened the night I believe, then Vath, then Picotto who went till like 730 or something.

It was a fucking AWESOME night!
