Why put the gift, which involves no planning other than Mark Oliver's record selection on a night that already has a headliner, and when there is nothing going on the following week?

they have alot of djs here that night...

there is alot of peeps goin to marco v that would have gone to tiesto if marco hadnt been here...so that says soemthing...

amyways i agree with shanny....it would be much better to have the gift on a different night...SO mant Ta's would go there too...it would be an amazing party

This is ridiculous!!!

Why would Mark even agree to this, unless he wasnt going to be around on the 16th. This doesn't make any sense to me, or the people who have attended The Gift for the past couple years. This sucks BIG time. and who cares about the people that are going to be there for Marco V, they all leave by 5:30 in the a.m. anyways.... TA's never stay after a guest dj has spun, they don't like to stick it out for Mr. Oliver, Petty can vouch for that.

So the solution: put the Gift on the 16th when those who would appreciate it most can go and enjoy the classic sounds of MO from beginning to end!!

that post reminds me of the drama of 'the gift vs. tiesto' back in Dec 2004 when both occured on the same night as well hahaha

what crazy drama happened over that. ppl got so intense about one party being better than the other, or how one should go to one and not the other (for various reasons on both sides)

There is no competition. Those who want to see Tiesto are still going to see Tiesto. Having the Gift this night is not going to change their minds.
If they wanted more people to be at the guv for this event, then they should have just done it on the 16th.
Obviously there is some reason why they are doing it this day instead of the following weekend, and its not to get more customers because for the larger population (such as those who will be at tiesto) there is no comparing of Mark and Tiesto anyways, half of those peps don't even know mark exists.

Especially those who want to see tiesto and already have tickets. 2004 when i missed the gift for tiesto i had no regrets, so i'll go again. But im with ya danielle........ booo on the guv for that piss poor planning.
