Haappy Holidaze

And you pretty much summed up the whole point most of are trying to make.

QUALITY IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN QUANTITY!

Happy Holidays to you to

Sean is quality imho. His trax are playlisted by the top dj's and also on most internet radio sets. If the trax weren't good then they wouldn't be played out as much

As far as quantity... he is the most wanted remixer of 2006, therefore you are going to hear many of his trax in many, many sets.

Plz stop hating on him, he's doing his job and he's doing it very well.

... because we all know THAT'S what makes your arguments valid.

Kindly fuck off.

ok look at it this way. Everyone who you say has no valid point leaves tranceaddict. only these "djs" or "producers" who can 'do better' are left. Who then buys the music, spends their hard earned money on listening to these people who seem to be invincible simply based on the fact that they produce something ?

They are the people who buy records, pay to get into clubs, and give people like Sean Tyas a way to make money while doing what they love.

But, yeah they probably dont mean anything, now do they.

Mikey Mike almost is, does that make his opinion the most important and correct?

+1 COULDNT AGREE MORE

also you guys say he just adds harder kick? i beg to differ. plus i would be willing to say 99 percent of the people in this thread (to include my self) cant do anything better. i think when every ones production skills are as tuned as his, then we can talk shit.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Dec-28-2006 01:04:

His tracks are professionally done, yes. They are also boring and add absolutely nothing of interest to trance (and yeah, that's my "subjective opinion").

And his remixes and "reworks" typically make tracks worse rather than better.

lol Not this reason again... By what you are saying that means you can't comment on a movie, because we can't produce/direct as good as the movie producer/director yet. But wait, that point is only valid if it's a negative comment. Positive comments always welcome regardless of your lack of abilities or skills right?

Also just LOL at the clueless fanboys using DJ Mag Top 100 and popularity as reasons.
In case you fanboys didn't pick it up, we were talking about quality not whether he is whored out or what not.

I hope your fucking balls drop off as well

What the hell is this? Collect every possible cliche into one big bundle of shit-thread?

What kind of retarded logic is that?

If for example you don't like one of Steven Spielberg's movies, are you not allowed to criticize it until you make a blockbuster movie yourself?

edit: beaten by ToF.

That was my impression.

OK I think Sean is a good producer, I loved Lift (yes it was over played to fuck, but it still wander around humming that melody to myself) BUT i think the blame for him getting all this abuse lies totally with the labels.

C'mon, be honest the people that know producers on here that are bashing sean, how many times has someone sent you somethin that is complete arse, i bet its loads. However cos Sean is the name of the moment every digital trance label wants a tyas track so will sign anything he puts out.

I bet you all your great producers from 98-99 era produced the same amount of stuff as Sean, but I bet the labels told them to fuck off and come back with something better.

Yes i agree the amount of stuff he puts out atm is somewhat ridiculous, but calling him a cancer on the scene is somwhat harsh. IMO, the blame lies completely with the labels, trying to make a quick buck out of the tyas name with stuff that should be consigned to the unfinished projects folder on his pc.

Sorry, drunk, bad explanaition

Posted by DJ Patski on Dec-28-2006 03:58:

If you don't like him or his work either:

- Make something better
- Shutup and DON'T listen to his music.

So fucking simple.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Dec-28-2006 04:05:

Why is it that people who like an artist always think that nobody should be allowed to criticize that artist?

Maybe people should make it clear when they think a song is crap so that artists (if not current ones, then maybe up and coming ones) are less inclined to make stuff like it. Good idea? Bad idea?

C'mon. Quit thinking like a three year old. Criticism is a NECESSARY part of art. That approach is so childish.

OOOOOOOOOOR...

We can express our dislike for his music, because guess what?

We aren't the fucking care bears, and if you expect us to be, then you're bound to get fucked over in life.

So fucking simple.

Posted by DJ Patski on Dec-28-2006 04:12:

Criticism is fine, but have you noticed every Sean Tyas thread that comes up is nothing but bashing? There is quite a difference.
