What is perverse about homosexuality that isn't perverse about heterosexuality? Both orientations have their issues, as is the way with something so intimately shared between people, but what really justifies one or the other? Are you completely against sex for pleasure? Because that would be a really odd viewpoint to take in this day and age. I can totally understand if you were raised a certain way and think certain things just because that is simply what you know in life, but have you ever actually questioned just what is so totally wrong about one form of sex over another? I would honestly like to hear what your conclusions are, since this is still a decent discussion.

hello, 1970 is fed up of you. Come back to 2007. Homosexuality is accepted by many people now, and why not. It's a lifestyle choice, if you want to be homophobic then fine, but you're just looking stupid. I have friends who're gay and if they didn't tell you so, you wouldn't have a clue they were (apart from their weird music taste & campness) You probably wash your hands everytime a guy shakes with you incase he's got gay, you never know if you'll catch it.

I think the problem for you is that you've obviously got deep issues. Perhaps a girlfriend ran off with another girl, or you bent over & got more than you bargained for.

Onto the case of adoption. The catholic church is refusing in the uk to let gay people adopt, they say they'll have to shut down their adoption agencies if they have to give gay people the same rights as straight. Lets remember what all these religions & churches have done though, so much war, ignorance & not a lot of good.

I can't agree with theresa so much on single people adopting, simply because many single parents in the uk have no control of their kids, use them to get money by continuously getting pregnant & the manner & culture of many of these kids now is terrible, the fact they only have 1 parent means they have no discipline & I think that 2 parents are necessary, be it 2 mums, 2 dads, 1 of each or a cat & a dog.

As I grow older I come to realize that this is beyond true.

Straight couples , being able to have kids at any time, take having kids for granted while gay couples don't. There are far more heterosexuals that just have kids for the sake of having them, no intentions on really caring for them as they never really planned it so they don't really give a fuck though they should be. When coming to kids, homosexual couples do tend to care more about kids because they know it's not something that can come to them easily. ( Adoption can be hard ), so when they finally are able to adopt they care for it with maybe a little bit more attention than a couple who is able to dispense babies whenever the fuck they feel like it.

If a single person decided to adopt, they would have to go through as hectic a process as a couple, if not worse. I am sure that you have to have a certain level of financial stability in order to qualify as an adoptive parent.

Plenty of single parents raise their kids well. The UK is probably different, which it seems to be by reading what you posted, but I do understand where you are coming from.

I do get the points you & theresa are both making. In the uk at the moment, there are huge problems, with youth behaviour, crime, and the measures taken to deal with them.

ASBO (Anti-Social Behaviour Order) are given out to people, but they've become seen as being cool. It's no longer safe in many places because of huge gangs of youths fighting & intimidating. For example, a friend of my mothers is an old lady with a guide dog. Her dog was attacked recently by a gang of youths for no reason whatsoever, kicked & punched just for kicks. Filming beatings & uploading them to youtube is becoming popular too & much of these people come from broken families, where the parents either don't care or are split & the father can't get to see the kid.

People are afraid to stick up for themselves & those who do are often punished in injury, death or taunts. It's a pretty sad state of affairs, but a lot of it comes down to the parents, who pop until they drop. I live by a school & you should see some of the ignorant people who have kids there. They shouldn't be allowed children.

Yeah, but ASBOs are legally insane because they basically allow any act to be considered a criminal offense chargable by court. In fact, if this sort of law were to try and happen in America or even Canada it would be it would be immediately struck down as antisocial and inconstitution in and of itself (not to mention evidence for ASBOs is allowed to be both anonymous and hearsay).

I'm not trying to degrade anyone

I was just saying that stating homosexuality as "unnatural" doesn't really make sense because it happens in nature. It's not like anyone or anything is teaching these animals how to be gay. They just do it.
