and Madrid too! My personal Favorite! You son of a biatch!

Still too busy to know my exact plan unfortunately but a gypsy fortune teller told me she sees lots of travel in my near future when she glares into the crystal ball

I'm looking forward to going back to Paris for the French Open
Unfortunately Roland Garos isn't as big as some other stadiums so I likely won't be able to get tickets for the final though... I really hope to see Federer!

Just paid for my tickets for Sensation White in Prague and there on there way in the Mail!

Can't Wait!

Paying for those tickets was teh biggest hassle ever! First off, they only accepted a wire transfer in there of CR Crown currency. So I went my bank w/ BNS, and they said they couldn't do it. They could only send wire transfer in large currencies. I then talked w/ the ticket company in Prague and said I could send it Euros. So I went back to the bank and they said sorry, you can only send a wire to Czech Rep. in Canadian $.

Who the hell wants CDN$??

Finally, I ended up going to my friend at TD and it probably took 5 minutes to send a wire transfer in Czech dollars!

I think i'm giong to swith everything to TD just for that.

But I can't wait!

Because they're N/A or too expensive?
Only $900 on this "cheap tickets" site - lol
http://www.gotickets.com/sports/ten...nis_tickets.php

I think it's funny how the women's final tickets are 200 bucks cheaper than the mens.

I've been planning to go to this for awhile so I am going to do my best to get tickets, maybe for the quarters. I have never seen that site you linked to but this is the info from the official french open site:

Q- How much are the tickets?
A - In 2007, ticket prices will range from 8 euros 73 euros. Entry to the stadium is free to under 7s (providing they sit on their parents' laps).

Also, this is the first year there is equal prize money for both sexes, now only Wimbledon is left.

Posted by Skipper on Mar-21-2007 17:12:

Interesting - when I googled french open tickets I got a number of ticket sites, all of them had pricing for only upper and lower levels and both price points were ridiculously high!

I saw one site with tickets in the range you mention but wasn't sure how those worked because only the upper and lower seating areas were shown on the venue map.

I'm going to be there only from June 7 onwards, which is when the semis start.

Edit:

I got this from a site selling "grounds" tickets --

*Grounds Passes: These French Open tickets are very popular for the opening week sessions as there are so many great matches going on on the outside courts. Also refered to as "Annexe tickets", these French Open tickets give you access to all the outside courts on a first come basis, but not the following courts - Phillipe Chatrier Center Court, Suzanne Lenglen and Court 1.

Soooo...by the time the semis roll around, are there even going to be games happening on the outside courts?

So confusing!

Anyone familiar with the aiport in Barcelona?
I have to transfer flights and will have a very short stopover (less than two hours) .. how much time does it take to get from one terminal to another?????????

Posted by Skipper on Mar-22-2007 15:47:

I remember the airport in Barcelona being fairly small with the terminals all in a row, basically beside each other.

http://www.barcelona-airport.com/eng/maps_eng.htm

I've never seen an airport so close to the water, so if your flight comes in from the east, you might find it a bit unnerving to be flying only 50 feet above the water (and descending) - I am not nervous about flying at all, but that was strange at first.

BCN is a not a big airport, although when I was last there in Sept there was construction going on. I doubt the new sections are opened yet though.

Ehhhhh, 2 hours is calling it close. What if your plane lands late? I've had it happen to me a couple times. I usually give myself 4-6 hours between flights and it has paid off. Also, consider collecting luggage and passing through customs can take some time.

it's funny .. if i recall correctly the last time i was in Barcelona they were building a subway to their airport. Toronto was experiencing a TTC fare increase..

Conicdence....??????

I don't think so.

No wonder subway construction is so expensive here but so cheap in Spain. We're paying for Barcelona's aswell (GASP!)

Those bastards!!!

The peices of the puzzle finally fit together.

Agreed! for my ten year gift at work I got a sizeable Ryan Air voucher.. only downfall is I have to use it up before feb 2008 (and can only cash in 150 euros at a time)... so later this year I am planning to go to Italy & Spain, plus Ireland and the Canary Islands around xmas time. Can't wait
