Off topic, but your quote on Sean Tyas, it hasn't died because people aren't pumping out tracks like Sean, it's died because people LIKE Sean are making so many releases that ALL the sound SAAAAAAMEEEEE!!!!!!! and put no f*********cking effort into the track!!!!! so you might wanna rethink that quote sorry I get really angry with what people like Sean Tyas do... he's probably a nice person and all but fuck, don't release a track a week! PUT SOME EFFORT INTO IT!!! It's not the size of your penis! its how you use it!!!! (AKA its now how many tracks you release, but how GOOD they are!) and thats what makes the trance world go round and round...

You probably did not get it. Its a quote taken from the Sean Tyas interview and it is what he said. I have it in my sig because I just find it kinda amusing that Tyas thinks this way. I disagree with it.

Hm yes.

I found so many noob statements on 10 pages, that i saw ever in my life.

Album is below average with a few good tracks, thats my statement. especially if u take the hype that surrounded it.

First off someone said its better then In My Memory. He should get a lifetime ban.

What bothered me the most, people that bash the album and act like "they know all about it", because of the statement that Do You Feel Me is a rip off from Oxia Domino. Its not people I can guarentee you that as a musician.Sequenze is similar but way too far to call it a rip off.
But If you are asking Do You Feel Me is a rip off from Petter - Some Polyphony. Tell me if I am right?

And stop making stupid posts.

+1

I propose an I.Q test for posting on this thread

for all the ripoff talk being thrown around i can't believe i'm the only one to point out the likeness between 'everything' & the lucid mix of dreaming

i'm really not seeing the adagio/elements of life likeness either, slightly similar synth used for the main lead but that's pretty much where it ends

Can't you come up with better arguments?
Only by saying such stupid things, it makes me happy that I am not the same as you by thinking the album is crap.

Pfff there is a lot of Tiesto Bashing going around here on this thread. And for what reason?

I have listened to the cd serveral times now and I have come to a few conclusions:

1. The tracks are all very well produced and most of them are quite good (Ten seconds before sunrise, Everything and Bright Morningstar remind me of ISOS2 and that is a good thing )

2. Having said that, the influences of BT are very well audible. Bright Morningstar, which really is a superb trancer especially during the build up, seems to be a BT production. Anyone who has heard the latest BT album will concur

3. The album is not aiming at just us trancelovers but is aiming for a most wider audience.
There are some very catchy commercial tracks (which some of us here like to refer as dog shit etc etc) on it such as the collab with BT "break my fall" the superb summer track Everything with Jess (and yes Tiesto really borrowed the leadsound and almost the same notation from Lucid's BT remix of Dreaming ) Those tracks might not appeal to the so called genius producers of TA who can of course all do better than Tiesto, but they will appeal to a big audience who just listens to music for what it is.

4. As the album continues Tiesto loses a bit of direction. Up till Bright Morningstar I feel I am listening to a high class EDM album after that track it feels like Tiesto doesn't know which way to go anymore so he fills the album with (potential) hits. Those hits are not that bad besides the current single "In the dark" but they do not seem to fit well on the album that is presented to us up till track nr 7.

5. Tiesto's artist album is a lot more creative and better produced than Armin's last artist album and also better than that of PVD. Of the big DJ's in this world only Ferry Corsten surpasses Tiesto's producing skills although I am not found of Ferry;s direction of late.

I am not as pretentious to think that I as a producer can come close to producing the tracks like Tiesto has done here on Elements of Life. Yes one can argue that his melodies are sometimes very very simple or way too catchy. But when people here are claiming the tracks suck and they are poorly produced I dare those people to try to produce on such a level themselves.

Cheers!

Nomen Nescio

if you compare with those I can understand why you think Tiestos album is good
but then again most trance producers have little or no idea of how to put together an album which is more than just 10 tracks with no relation to eachother thrown in on a cd.

that very final sentence killed all of your arguments. go and eat vomit assface.

wow, Driving to Heaven is a remix of Golan Globus - Blazer, basically. I guess the guy is running out of ideas.

Bright Morningstar is nice. The rest doesn't do much for me, unfortunately.

The first thing I noticed when I heard this track cause I absolutely loved 'dreaming'. 'Everything' is still good though.
