Someone on the facebook group said May 23/07 - Bad Boy Bill @ Dragonfly. I can't find a confirmation though.
ps, I hate the Dragonfly website. Annoying tune and slow flash shit.
edit: his tour schedule puts him in Montreal a few days before and Chicago a few days after, so it could be possible and just unannounced.
Gonna try and hitup OPM Friday. $1 cover and 241 drinks is pretty tempting. Just hope the music is good.

Fuck ya man... Sabres pulled off a huge win. I'm gettin ready to pull out the broomstick
. Went to OPM last night and was pretty disappointed. Not really sure wtf was goin on but between "technical difficulties" and witnessing the dj come running into the booth to start the next song, it was really hard to enjoy the music. o well, shit happens.

Made it to OPM for the first time last night for Judge Jules. I honestly was expecting the worst since it is graduation weekend and was mothers day. I was near downtown already, leaving a grad BBQ and suckered a friend to stop over and check it out.
Well it was worth the trip. Cover was expensive, $15 over, $20 under but the drinks were cheap so it evened out.
It's a nice small club. It was kinda empty looking when I got there at 12:30, but it turns out half the place was outside smoking. Jules played a good set. Was just enough ppl to make the place look busy but not over crowded. Jules had some good feedback and seemed amped. About 2 hours, mostly tech-house and non-fluff trance. Some good tunes. Heavy beats. Pretty good system, for Buffalo. Could have used a little cleaner/deeper bass. Not the best I've seen but not the worst by far (damn you oakenfold). Had a great time and danced til closing, 3:45.
Two things that could use improving. Labeling the bathrooms. I seriously had to guess which door was which. And also, they had monitors above the booth turned on but had nothing displayed on them and the blank gray 'no input' screens were a little distracting. Also, could use a green laser. ha, jk.

Wow guys we're slackin here... No updates since May?
Well maybe this'll help things.
I finally picked up a gig & I'll be @ Mode (old le metro) on the corner of Elmwood and West Utica this Friday. I'm luggin everything, including speakers there to try and spread the music. I'll be playing whatever the crowd seems to enjoy so fellow Buffalonians should stop in for a drink or two and hang out. I start at 10:30 and will probably go till 2 or 3. Hope to see some people out!
What do you spin?
House, Progressive, and a little bit of Trance... Pretty much everything. Gotta mix it up, especially for a 3 hour set.
I'm there brotha! Have to support the scene in Buffalo
I checked out the snoody fox last Friday which opened up right next to prespa and it seemed to be taking most of prespa business (me included), which doesn't fit well. Im actually off to Tuesday on the patio at SOHO and they had a house DJ playing there last week and they will continue to do so every Tuesday while its nice out.

I don't know the venue though, The Calumet? I guess it's behind La Luna. Any one ever been there?
