It are your ass-licking trance.nu supporters that leech your ass off, so you must be joking, right ?

exactly. I sure as hell don't know where he gets his facts from but from my experience the most dedicated buyers and supporters of trance music can be found on TA and not on trance.nu

Posted by stefanoc on May-02-2007 22:44:

the cover is good looking comparing to what it was last year. i dont see anything wrong with it.

i dont listen to asot much anymore but to my assumption, most of the tracks have been played on his radio show (or maybe all). what i dont understand is people getting mad over seeing the same 'asot' songs on the album. cant you read? it says A STATE OF TRANCE 2007. not BUTT FUCK TRACKS YOU NEVER HEARD BEFORE 2007.

the bitching doesnt stop. if he release A STATE OF TRANCE 2007 that had tracks you havent heard before, then people are gonna bitch about it being false advertisement and how it doesnt have the tracks from ASOT episodes.

this is good for people who want to remember the episodes in 2 CDs compiled.

lol @ the steve porter comment.

the cover really sucks. i love the guy, but he looks like a douche with that striking pose at the camera.

setting my expectations very low for this album. ASOT2004, 2005, and 2006 have left MUCH to be desired.

theyre bitching at the quality of the tracks not the obscurity.

not all of them. ive read many posts in which people say "it was a good song until avb played it on asot and messed it up".

Posted by RapidFire on May-03-2007 03:52:

well thats just retarded

Posted by ronk on May-03-2007 21:20:

Rio Addicts, Mike Foyle and First State looks interesting, the rest looks ok...

btw, I have a lot of respect to Filo & Peri, but Anthem is probably the most horrible tune I've ever heard. it's just ugly.

given that this was mixed with Ableton, the mixing is insanely bad at times

Listening to Disc 1...

Yep. And when it's not bad, it's just plain boring. Disc one bored me to death. The new Rio Addicts was depressing.

Posted by TranceArmstrong on May-10-2007 08:49:

ok, aside from the *questionable* tracklist, how hard is it for an album to have a decent, non-gay cover? how hard would it be to track down, say:

apparat

james holden

satoshi tomiie

vibrasphere

or 10000s of other dance artists with modern art or landscape album covers and ask them who did their cover work? A black cover with the words "ASOT 2007" on it would be better. Or how about a picture of armin behind the decks or something, or in the studio or something. Not this campy smirk

I noticed this too... Especially in disc 2

Posted by CygnusX on May-10-2007 10:10:

The tracklist looks quite good imo. A lot of great ones, a lot of tracks I haven't heard yet and a few tracks that I don't like at all.

I loved ASOT2006. The mixing and the newer tracks on ASOT2007 would have to be very good to beat that.

I guess you will be very disappointed, especially with disc two ... how did Armin come to a result that bad ?!

Disc one is quite better imo, with a lot of meh vocal tracks, but also some nice summer tunes

Only know these tunes. Could be I've heard more, but than those tracks have proven not to be memorably at all. Best tunes on it probably are "Formentera What" and "Evergreen".

Not going to give this CD a listen. I'm just too bored by the stuff Armin plays, he can't really stop playing those cheezy vocal pop like tunes. And I'm sure he's stuffed this CD at least with several off them (like "I Am" and "Wouldn't change a thing" ).

think the U.S release date got pushed back to June 5th
