So, what kind of stuff does Ian James play? I've heard some good things, but don't know much about him. I'm still hoping Tiesto will be spinning for 5 hours, but if anyone knows for sure if he will be starting at 1 or 2 instead please inform us. I am also curious about the parking situation there if anyone knows.

Posted by Caution_BiPolar on Sep-10-2007 16:17:

Agreed, that would suck if that little advertised detail turned out to be false... if Ian James is good or bad, I'm pretty sure most of us paid out the ass to see Tiesto, not him.

I am also curious about the parking, I'm trying to think of ANY venue in Gwinnett that can hold parking for over 4,000 people aside from the Civic Center.

We did not advertise a 5 hour set. We advertised an extended set and a long set. Right now Tiesto is Scheduled to take the stage at 12:30 in order to give everyone enough time to get into the venue.

As for parking there is plenty, we did 8000 people at this venue and we had enough parking.

4 hours is better than 5 hours...no

Posted by Caution_BiPolar on Sep-10-2007 23:55:

Well, to not kid myself, I'll probably be tired enough to curl up on the floor of the venue and sleep by 5AM, so I probably won't care who is on after a point, as long as it keeps me awake

wow this is gonna be intense.....

I hope the sound system is good. Getting things to sound good in huge open areas with a lot of bodies is quite difficult.

ME, TOO. the sound system at the tabernacle was a joke!

so, is parking free..?

it was only advertised as an extended set, never a 5 hour set. that's g&d.

Posted by Caution_BiPolar on Sep-12-2007 02:20:

VIPNightlife advertised a 5 hour set, I'll go kick their ass. They also said that 100 tickets were left about the time 200 was posted here, and APPARENTLY they're selling a few more VIP tickets now, for whoever asked that question.

... and there's a preparty at Bong's place, but I can't tell you how entertaining it will be (or won't!)

I have a production meeting at the venue today so i wil try and find out about parking costs.

A for the sound we have a wicked VDOSC system that we are ringing in.

WOW The used that at cochella a while back and daft punk when I saw them in LA this is going to be sick.

Whats the deal on the lasers? How many machines ?

Devin, is there going to be more than one will call window? Because with 5000 people, at any given time between 10 and 1 am there will probably be at least 1500 people in line! That would take an hour just to get through the line single file...

We have 5 will call computers set up with a 6th on standby. Will call will open up at 8:00 pm so people can come by and pick up there tickets ahead of time.

We just released another 500 tickets on wantickets. We were going to save those 500 to sell on the door but have opted to release them now.

h

how can u watch this guy

Posted by Blizwar2 on Sep-13-2007 00:18:

Be prepared, Tiesto in CHI-town was sick. I hear it was an amazing set. I didn't get to see very much of him because I was checking in 4k ppl through the door here, but it totally made a large effort to redeem his sucky mixing skills. He even was a nice guy and signed some vinyls for ppl.

Check out the pix in this thread

the tracklistings from his US gigs have been pretty similar. expect him to open with Ten Seconds To Sunrise. he'll drop sean tyas - lift, he'll drop platinum (hes been closing with this lately), he'll might drop diary of jane, lovestoned, and a bunch of shit from his elements of life album obviously. worst song ive read hes dropped is that he's a pirate bullshit. dont expect the set the be anything mindblowing, all the us gigs while decent, dont look to be too spectacular.

enjoy the setup though, thats probably whats going to be best. and im still fucking jealous i wasnt able to come up for this.

i want loads of pics from the people who are going!
