i just got home.............I got in a car accident on the way home. I was minding my own business driving in cruise control when a car on my right side steered right into me and I slowed down to let them go in front of me and so I can go to the right but he clipped the front right side of my car. This then pushed my car towards the center divider. I was shitting bricks when the cops showed up because both of us involved in the accident were faded. Fuck. My car is fucked up...

Hope they popped the guy with a DUI. Seriously, if you're drunk and you cause a wreck, you should go straight to jail, no pass go, but directly in the clink... So you sober up with a reality overload...

Sorry that happened At least you're not hurt... you coulda spun out and been seriously hurt...

the cops did a quick sobriety test on both of us and we were cool. but yeah i have been testing my luck too much lately. especially after already winning my last DUI case. My windshield is cracked, the front bumper is like mangled. The tire well is like scraping on the tire on the front-right. Airbag went off in the passenger side. Could have been worse yeah. Im glad nobody got hurt. Time for some changes in my life.

Sorry to hear about that, Curly. Glad to hear you're in one piece though - that's all that matters at this point. On a lighter note, last night was LEGENDFUCKINGDARY. Sasha threw down one of the best techno sets I've heard. I was unsure what to expect, I thought he was going play a boring prog set that would take two hours to build and go nowhere, but from track one, he threw it the fuck down with banging minimal/techno. I was dancing my ass off from the moment I got into Vanguard (around 11:30) until the very end. I had never seen Vanguard so packed after 4am. Getting your car from the valet parking lot afterward was a HUGE bitch. Luke Fair played a great opening set too - lots of Balance 011 tracks. I recognized at least half the tracks he played from that compilation and recent sets. Very smooth, mellow, melodic house. Very good set. I only wish he played longer. I want to see Fair throw done a good 3-hr.+ set.

And then the TA sideroom with Junior Chavez, Bas & Clovis, Tyler, Roman S, Randy, etc., was fucking amazing it its own right too. All these guys brought their A game and threw it the fuck down too. When I got in the club I saw Clovis & Bas about to get on the decks and I was all "wtf is going on?" Then I found out TAs had the side room booked & were on rotation all night. Right before Sasha got on Bas brought in this Daft Punk track (I forgot the title) and the transition owned me so hard. It pwned the shit outta everyone. Almost everyone in the room was singing along and having the time of their lives. Definitely one of the highlights of the nights for me.

Overall, superb, superb night. All around phenomenal night. I was about to give up on giving Sasha more chances to prove himself to me -- and last night, he proved to me why he's one of the world's greatest DJs, and one of my all-time favorites. Amen.

Mistress Barbars - Jamais Moi Sans Toi (some Sasha reconstruction/remix)
Ozgur Can - Escape (Version 9)
Minilogue - The Leopard
Thom Yorke - The Eraser (Strech & Vern edit)

He re-edited/re-constructed so many tracks on-the-fly, I would recognize a tune, but it had a different bass line, acapella, and was altered it some subtle way. The mixing was fucking flawless. And the encore Justin Timberlake - Sexy Back (remix?) was crazy - I don't care what you think about JT, that remix was hawt. It was peaking into some crazy techno tune, and wham, "I'm Bringing Sexy Back" drops with a sick minimal bass line. Damn, I had way too much fun.

i got home like a little bit after 6am. The CHP showed up right away. First question they asked was if I had anything to drink. I've never been in an accident like that before.

Enough of that...

Wow fuckin Sasha was the shit. I was tired from working all day and then rushing out to the club so that prevented me from fully enjoying myself. The tracks were super sick and the mixing was crazy.

I loved the music in the backroom with all the TA's. Every track was a bomb!
