Sport Quattro. Heavily shortened, lightened and powered up from the original Quattro model. Have driven with one long time ago.. a tasty and a mad car to drive, especially on a dirt road.

Yep, old on the outside but new on the inside is teh g00ds. But not in my current situation when i don't even have a car.. no need for one, and owning a car and to drive the kilometers i (would) need it in a year, is just way too expensive here. Ridiculously expensive really. I commute, walk, run, ride a bike and rather just dream about how it could be some day if my life was perfect and gas, insurances and other basic car maintenance costs were cheap.

Most wouldnt even know what they are looking at...and wouldnt think it would run damn near $90k for one. Fantastic car.

Dunno about sexy
Merc's from that era are some of the most indestructible things in existence, it's a pity the company changed its tack to a more 'budget' oriented segment and forgot the only reason people bought their cars was because they where superbly made.
I actually like the 80's mercs and about the only later model which I thought was much good was the SLK's, guess the beauty in mercs is that they are so well put together.

good point. I think it was Volkswagen that actually sent a team of researchers over here to just drive a bunch of cars around and basically use them like Americans do, because they literally just had a different concept of what a car does. They didn't eat in their cars, drink in their cars, take hour-long drives every day, walk from the end of a grocery store parking lot, etc.
That said, most people who spend 100k on a car already have a nice house & a big tv, and whatever else it is that makija mentioned wanting. It's not an either/or thing.

still not pre 95 foo.

Conquest TSi, great little car, slightly on the heavy side, but easy to make fast for cheap.

i do like the civic... specially the si
but i agree, i dont like it when it sounds sooo fuckign loud... also like the integras.. i actually like alot of cars... but when you add a wing and a loud exausht and some graphics and stickers... my love turns to hate
Posted by jupiterone on May-31-2007 02:17:
I always seem to find people driving extremely shit pre-95 civics, stripped paint all the way to the primer, rust spray painted with household acrylics and kmart chrome hub-caps....
Then he has a custom exhaust that does absolutely nothing but make the car look even worse and essentially make him look like a total idiot

I think the GNX was a lil faster in the 1/4 mile. I might be wrong. I do know it killed vetts.
EDIT: it was faster.

I guess im biased as a former owner. Back when i first seen them on the road when i was a kid, till i had one when i started driving & even now, i still think its the baddest car on the road.

I agree its also one of my favorite cars ever. But i also might be biased towards camaros since my pops used to race one pro stock in the 60's.
And it is a 69. You can always tell a 69 from a 67 or 68 by the fender vents in front of the rear fenders of a 69.

lol none but that was another favorite of mine as a kid. When i was 8 my cousin came over with his brand new 86 Iroc- Z. Since then it was always a fav car of mine. And yes he was an Italian Retard Out Cruisin.

he meant a Mitsubishi FTO (which in the USA = Mitsu 3000GT) and it is fast. the VR-4 is heavier because of the awd system but the vr4 is TT. its got LOTS of power potential just by using a boost controller.

When you see one with the license plate SNKEATR it's gorgeous. They are easy to mod, and a hell of a sleeper. Turbo V6's of the 80s rocked.
