He experiments a lot with technology. Unfortunately, not so much with music.

Posted by ExOn on Oct-12-2007 09:24:

No, but those who produce minimal tracks sure are.

Posted by Lomeli on Oct-12-2007 09:38:

It's all techno or house.

The greatest nerd of them all: James Holden

Listen to Balance 005. Carefully. Do it again a couple of times. Worked for me.

(Don't know about the rest of his stuff.)

Exactly.. I've heard Balance 05 a TON...

But I still go back and listen to Hernan: South America, the original first time I heard PQM "You are sleeping"

That track is simply ...

Posted by |Thrax| on Oct-12-2007 22:00:

I memorized the whole thing.. only a few times after I heard it.

"sometimes iiiiiiiii geeeeeeeeeeeeeeet luuuuuuucky"

...you say.. but it is better to give.. but she says "beat off creep" (creep creep creep)

what a mindfuck.

Yeah, totally. The atmosphere it creates is absolutely astounding.

I would not recommend that. Unfortunately, Holden doesn't want to be judged by Balance 005 anymore. He said it himself, and I have to agree, it is too much trance

If you really want to know if you are able to like a genius like Holden, buy the AT THE CONTROLS compilation. It is truely awesome. If you dont like them, give up, you will not like Holden at all.

I like James Holden. I don't like 'At The Controls.'

You are wrong.

It is, however, on "At the Controls." Read, comprehend, post - in that order please.

If that's the case, Holden doesn't suit my taste.
I have both Balance 005 and At The Control and I think Balance 005 is multiple times better.
At The Controls is simply... Weird. Not interesting at all, in my opinion.
