Cleared his name meaning he didn't know anything about it and it was purely his marketing manager?

Then there's a good chance that DJ Dan has been cleared as well.

how does he get 4th place from 20th and not be like hmm there has to be a problem? he actually thinks he all of a sudden can get voted to 4th? bulllllllll shit.

it is remotely possible, considering most of votes come from Europe and North America.

And apparently Chris Lawrence is huge in US. I guess the Yanks need a new trance DJ to push, since Oakey is too fucked up to put together a transition together

Posted by robbiej on Oct-18-2007 04:11:

lol markus schulz is in a whole other league compared to chris i just dont understand:B markus should be hacked to #4 lol

Posted by robbiej on Oct-18-2007 04:12:

now watch the incoming chris lovers saying 'omg ur joking right.. omg ur kidding right... right? ... ' hehe

Posted by Yohan on Oct-18-2007 04:19:

Yeah. Schulz did a lot this year. Deserves to go up a few spots

I can't help but agree with you
he's been absolutely awesome this year

me too. thought before he's all about the gay vocal trance but he's shown that he can mix it up, playing the techy prog to trancey prog and put it together.

fuck. his set at armada night was just unbelievable

Armin went up from 27 to 5 in 2003 and Sander van Doorn was i think 7th last year in the TA poll from like a 100 the year before.

Release a good track or album , get more gigs in more countries which results in more exposure thereby getting many more people to know your name and its highly possible that your popularity can get a huge bump.

Chris lawrence is american and the popularity of dance music has grown exponentially around these parts in recent times so maybe his ranking was legitimate given that people sometimes favor their locals.

The only thing that I feel arouses suspicion is that Chris Lawrence' style of music does not cater to mainstream tastes and his name doesnt generate all the ooooo's and aaaaah's like say markus schulz who is also american and came in 19th last year.

If I'm not mistaken Christopher Lawrence is from California, which has roughly the same population as England. Apparently more votes came in from the US last year than from any other country in that god forsaken poll. It was no surprise to me when CL made the top ten again last year, he had been in the top twenty for three or four years before that and is hugely popular in the US. I personally think he's an excellent DJ and am happy to see he's been cleared in all this mess.

I don't like to compare DJs because they all have their strong markets but I don't see Markus Schultz having the same level of popularity in the US as CL. I have not seen him headlining the massives, whereas CL is a regular name at the top of the big bills like Nocturnal, Love Fest etc.
