for some reason to me I just don't see it.. maybe a 6th man type player

i think he can now. he's been hitting more jumpers... still looks a little awkward, but he can be a boozer type in the nba. i think they're roughly the same size.

yeah, and the concern with carlos boozer was whether he could do anything else besides outmuscling people. looks like he can. shelden williams on the other hand... fail!

just read that the Lopez brothers are going pro..

predictions in what they will do in the NBA... I personally think they will be much better than the Collins twins..

Brook is predicted a top 15 and Robin will probably be a 2nd rounder...

They give me a very Tim Duncan feel.. Brook more so, but Robin I think is much better defender and Brook is more offense..

thoughts??

i probably would have too if i didnt have all this money on these other teams...

but riddle me this? did you root for Davidson over Wisconson when they played?

There was an interesting article in the NYTimes that almost went so far as to paint Wisconsin as the under dog going into that game.

Pretty cool actually.

tyler hansborough's style is close to david lee(new york), a young antonio mcdyess(then denver when young, now detroit), al horford(atlanta), or boozer coming out of college. very agressive on the offensive boards, reliable from 10 to 12 feet in, can play average on defense for now, but room to grow, and can come in the game off the bench, play 10-15 minutes a night easily, and still play a significant role on the team.

he would of course be a perfect fit on a nba team if they have a reliable shooting guard, but if he's the go-to guy who needs 15-20 shot attempts a game, then no i don't think he can fit that role.

i wouldn't be surprised if both lopez brothers are taken in the top 15. it seems many nba teams are gambling on unproven, shady, or big name big guys early in the draft, overlooking quality shooting guards / small forwards.

good to hear stephen curry is staying one more year. i have a feeling his dad is telling him to stay the full 4 years. i say it's a good decision for him, especially this year, which may look to be a very heavy stocked draft filled with big guys and big names from top schools.

i am curious to see where chris lofton(tennessee), jason richards(davidson), and depending on how kansas finishes, their top 4 starting guys(jackson, chalmers, robinson, rush) will fit in the nba draft.

I think he'll def. be a 6th man type of player. The enrgy that guy will have coming off the bench is what the NBA teams will be looking for.

someone told me he's this generations Kurt Rambis
srsly though I have no clue who to compare him to, he's like Madsen but with actual basketball skills.... like a more talented J. Noah I dunno....and yeah when are we going to see another BBALL player wear glasses like Rambis on the court? I rember in the 5th grade once we had to come dressed up as an athlete/uniform, so I dressed up as Kurt Rambis ,sported the fake stache and everything too.

BTW the lopez Brothers really remind me of Tim Duncan in terms of their personality and how they show it on the court.

memphis took care of business, and silenced love, collison, and the bruins. like always, the douglas-rose combo too deadly to stop.

kansas working unc to death on D at the moment.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Apr-06-2008 02:26:

hold my horses there.
unc making a strong run against kansas. if unc wins this one, talk about one of the biggest meltdowns in sports tournament history. bigger than the yankees meltdown against the red sox.

Quite a comeback that UNC is mounting
It seems that Kansas should slow things down, and run the clock down, but they're doing the opposite, and trying to score as quickly as possible.

that's the problem for kansas. they have never played slowed down basketball. they have been an up tempo team this whole year.

Posted by partyhopper on Apr-06-2008 02:59:

Looks like both teams went back to the same way they started the game

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Apr-06-2008 03:04:

good comeback by unc. they just ran out of gas the final 5 minutes.
good match. memphis-kansas looks to be a doozy. 2 teams with great combo guards.

Posted by Eddie N MIAMI on Apr-08-2008 02:51:

great championship game so far....imagine if these 2 teams played in a 7 game series

btw I think we know who Digger Phelps hopes will win the title ...cause itll be goin down tonight!

That missed free throw at the end came back to bite Memphis
Great game

That Kansas-Memphis classic has to be one of the best basketball games I've seen in a long time
