Any event by ID&T (www.id-t.com) or Q-Dance(www.q-dance.nl) beats MM by far, and those events are at the same price or cheaper.

Agree 100 percent. The production that goes into those events are amazing. I dont understand the deal with an end stage all the time. Set up a center stage. So much cooler. yea so you spend more on lighting to surround the area - big deal. It adds so much more. And lasers please... not one green one but two at least and multi color.

Do any of you ever look at why people don't use lasers in America in clubs or massives all that often. It's due to laws passed in the 1990's in the US... about how a laser cannot touch a crowd for fear it would burn someone's eyes.

Write the government if you want the law changed... it takes all of us. The fines for breaking it can be real heavy. This is why the one laser that was at EDC was at the top of the Colosseum.

That is really lame. I know at the Tiesto show out in ATL there was only one and it was constantly aimed at the bare wall at the back. And lasers would have been cool at MM. I was fine without them though. I still thought the lights were good.

ANther thing with lasers. I dunno if this is for sure, but it seems like the bigger DJs have a ton more leeway and making demands for gigs in the US. I know tons and tons of events where no laser is used making go WTF and it turns out that the DJ/agency/manager said no lasers.

LoveFest 2006 afterparty had CRAZY lasers...lol.

Prob the best massive production I've ever seen in the US. This year's LoveFest afterparty didn't have lasers, I don't think, but had a moodier production. Just a different setup/feel the production entirely. Not in a bad way. Just different.

But there is no problem having lasers aimed at the center wall. LoveFest had the idea.

But in any case having a center stage instead of endstage would be a step up for massives in the states. They should look at sensation for an example.

Lasers are too 90's! Clubs are rarely using them. The big thing now are VJ's. Venues can pay a lot of money to guys specifically for their talent behind the monitor... and its sick too!!!

Lasers are such a mindfuck

But I <3 em.
