It's not that the masses don't want to buy it.....it's the fact that the masses are not educated enough in this scene and only know about the top DJs. That being said I highly advise everybody that's reading this thread to come out on Thanksgiving Eve to witness a true trance party.........Eddie Halliwell is in a league of his own and will put Armin, Tiesto, and maybe PVD to shame anyday! Hope too see all of you at Avalon that night so I can hear you say......"damn vtec you were RIGHT!"

Yeah, but its at Avalon of all places... It rivals Pacha in terms of how much it sucks... They really need to kill off this place once and for all and let it be remembered as Limelight.

John O'Callaghan is worth the price of admission alone, but it would have been better at a different club.

Wrong.

It would suck ass because NYC is incapable of throwing a massive party with a 1/2 decent crowd... The people that populate the places like Pacha are 80% of what's wrong with the scene here.

umm kinda there with you; I hear our group of 6 finished 4 bottles...I do recall all of Remy's set and he spun a good set. Can't say too much about Armin's though.

I DO know that I hate Pacha and it would take a pretty big DJ that I am compelled to hear spin to get me to return.

Good times. Miss the Roxy. After reading all of the the pages in this thread, I am really afraid to go back to Pacha again. This is just one too many screw-ups for this club. Almost everytime I have gone, or have read the reviews about events I missed, there has always been a problem with overcrowding, the temperature, or people ruining the vibe with fights, or not respecting personal space. I personally don't think any amount of money is worth that grief, let alone something close to $50. There were a couple of tracks in that tracklist that kind of made me regret not having gone (the 3rd Moon remix of Saved Again, being one), but it seems like it was best to not have attended, overall.

Awesome Job as always gmoney! I'll see if I can help make the tracklist better even though it is very good already.

14. M6-Destination 6:
shouldn't be M6 - Destination 6 as it was played later during the night! What a tune that was, one of the best songs of the night for me!

30. Deadmau5- ID: I believe this was Joop - Prominent
(Remix, Leon Bolier?)

Amazing section of the night I must say. Magic was created as soon as Rapid Eye - Circa Forever hit, and even better yet, it was mixed into Leon Bolier's Further Instructions, probably the funkiest, most fun to dance to tech trance tune all night! And it didn't end there at all. I think that was when my night truly started. It was when I somewhat started to ignore the horrible chaos before. How awesome was W&W - Mustang with the refreshingly cool fog combined with the green lasers!

Posted by kingchinc on Nov-12-2007 00:29:

the cool fog sucked...felt like a snow storm to me

I hear ya.

Personally, I don't think I have ever really had a bad time at Pacha. I don't go very often (went for one of the Mind Control parties this Summer, Zabs and Fanciulli, Howells, and Holden - Burridge) but I haven't been there when its been out of control crowded. I don't think I have seen any bad fights at Pacha or run into any horrible crowds. I remember the Holden / Burridge night, remarking to Kerrine how normal the crowd was, and then being surprised the next day at how people were saying it was so bad.

Is it really that bad on some of these nights?
