I wouldn't be comfortable playing reconstructions and whatnot in my sets personally; maybe it's just me.

That's really weird. Every DJ I know edits every track they have to fit their sets better. Whether it's changing the intro/outro, or taking some samples out via looping or whatever. It's pretty common

I'm not talking about editting something you buy to work better in your sets - that I do regularly. I'm talking about myspace/set rips that get editted to play in sets (again if I misunderstood the original post, feel free to correct me here).

Edit: I'm an idiot, the original sampler on BP has that intro, I could probably edit this in! Cheers for the idea, I must be completely out of it today

Posted by RJT on Jan-13-2008 21:33:

I'm not ambitious enough to edit everything - well, maybe I am ambitious enough, but I also get high, so sometimes tracks slip through the cracks.

My god your a cheap low life scum if you don't want to pay under 2 for a track that took 3-4 guys hours to produce, then master, then distribute and press on vinyl. Cheap skate. Go rip off some other industry.. on no wait you probably do.

Thank you for not understanding what they were talking about. I'll go ahead and explain it for you...

The track that is for sale does not have the "ambient" intro that people had previously heard. It's not available for purchase at all. They are contemplating editing the ambient sample that is on Myspace onto a legally purchased track that does not have the ambient sample.

Keep up with the thread next time.

Dude when I have enough time to read entire threads on all the message boards I post on i'll be worried my career is stalling. Sorry to jump the gun but I hate piracy in any form and whilst editing rips from people's myspaces, why not also message the artist begging for a full, Hi-Q release? Sorry for my short temper but my passion for this should be obvious and the amount of arses on this board who haven't paid for music in years is shocking. Sorry if you thought I was lumping you in the same basket.

I don't believe that you're even close to graduating middle school, much less that you have a "career."

In any event, you're an idiot, and if you are indeed older than 12 you should be ashamed of yourself.

Posted by Shade on Jan-13-2008 23:07:

Kris, if you don't have the time to check up on the context, don't make a post which drags in completely irrelevant issues.

By the way (if I wasn't clear before), the intro *is* technically legitimately available on the 3 track sampler on Beatport. It'll probably take a bit of work to get the intro and the actual track together but either way, I'm going to give it a shot when I have a bit more time on my hands.

Posted by RJT on Jan-13-2008 23:10:

As long as the sample is *close* to the same BPM and you've got a copy of Ableton it shouldn't be too difficult to edit it on.

Posted by Kris G on Jan-13-2008 23:17:

Oh, i'm sorry but I already have this intro then legally from Beatport. RJT, how about you do some research?! Oh and as for your pithy comments on me being 12, or having a career in the industry... I don't even need to justify who I am or what I do to some newbie on here.

I apologised for my shortness before but if you want to drag it out, be my guest but I can't be arsed with some cheap teenage flame war. You could PM me and ask for the the sampler as I don't believe it's available anymore, either for free or to buy on Beatport. I'm sure your ego won't allow that though.

1. Go to Beatport, click "Beatport VIP Tracks", then "Emfire 2 Track Sampler", then download (Also maybe check into these things before embarrassing yourself again).

B. I (and I would assume most others here) don't particularly care who you are or what your position is - adults, and in general people that I can possibly have any respect for, don't act like you.

Have a great evening Kris.

Posted by Kris G on Jan-13-2008 23:37:

I'm only messing with you anyhow, growing up on this board will always give you that slight on-edge feeling when dealing with other strong-minded people. I didn't go to Beatport as I simply couldn't be arsed, was browsing another few forums at the same time

If you think I ever get 'embarrassed' on here or any forum then you really do think I am a teenager or younger still I only brought up I work within the industry as you went for the 101 remark of being young and immature, highly original there sunshine

Have a nice life RJT, no hard feelings on my part, as we probably have a lot in common, amongst one thing, good taste in music.

lol no man no!!!! XD

for christ sake, no no NO

Myspace has nothing to do with what i said, the 3tracksampler was released FOR FREE on Beatport, im not talking about ripping a myspace track, guys. Im talking about USING THE PERFECTLY LEGAL 3TRACKSAMPLER on Ableton Live or other editing software to be able to use the "Sparky" intro. Just like Shade said on the Edit

Cheers Everyone and a Bitchslap to those that insulted me =P

Haha yeah, sorry about all the confusion. I threw something rough together over the last two days, sounds pretty decent IMO

Careful, your career might suffer.

I haven't bought this yet but I really enjoy it, it seems well thought out and constructed. I usually play tracks that make musical sense, unlike some of the earlier Emfire stuff that was more groovey and effects driven.

Loving this track more and more each day...just so twisted.

Posted by Meat187 on Jan-15-2008 22:09:

A 13 page thread got me curious.
But judging by the samples I found, the only thing that is remotely interesting about this track is the name.

Posted by RJT on Jan-16-2008 21:59:

Alright, the distorted bullshit at the beginning really pisses me off. Will never, ever play this again as it is.
