as you are new, let me explain a few things to you...
1. if you had actually READ through this topic, you would have noticed this thread was started because a lot of people FROM florida are travelling to trance energy and they planned a meetup before for all the ta's from everywhere could meet up. posting it here facilitates having to browse through the other forums to find out about potential meets and also avoids people posting in the holland forum asking "WILL THERE BE A MEETUP?" which is annoying
2. not all the threads here pertain to trance/music/florida
3. try not to piss off the regulars when you first start posting. noobs need to browse and read through the forums for a while before they should be allowed to post as that will help them understand how the forum works and what goes before they start running around like they are a new mod or something
4. if a certain thread does not pertain to you, or you find it unnecessary, DON'T READ IT
5. for further questions, see 1 through 4

that is all. i will return to hibernation now.

ps: HOW WAS TRANCE ENERGY ffs

I know what you mean and although I'm new to this forum I'm not new to the internet and such things just seem.....sloppy. That's all.

Also, even if he/she is a regular, there's no way I'm putting up with an attitude like that. That's just plain ignorance. "IF" Had he/she put down a valid, organized, and logical argument, such as yourself, I'd actually feel that I would need to apologize to that user...

....but that doesn't seem to be the case this time.

On the other hand, I'd like to say thanks to you for the info....and my sincerest apologies to the other TA members, especially the user who started this thread.

But to Hiram....I have nothing more to say nor do I apologize for ruining his day and what seems like, the rest of his life.

Cool, I'm glad you feel that way....hopefully, someday we'll throw back a few cold ones and laugh about this. (preferably at a show in...say...Amsterdam? )

I had an awesome time! Tiesto fucking killed! He should play that way in the states so people stop talking shit about him!

I think those of us who met Jordy, owe him a very Big Thanks for organizing the TA meeting in Dam Square on Friday and Saturday, It was very successful and made the party that much more meaningfull for us all. We had a much better turn out than expected and saw some familiar faces. I only hope to see you all again to share some time together at another Trance Energy! Be well all and lets all stay in touch.

Posted by in2muzikk on Feb-26-2008 16:03:

Dank u wel, Jordy!

Posted by acid-flux on Feb-26-2008 18:34:

Cheers!!

Cheer Jordy for making that a great meet-up. Thanks for your planning and effort.

Posted by MagPie8064 on Feb-26-2008 21:50:

ill second that...thanks a ton to Jordy and his efforts for organizing the whole TA meetup. This entire trip was incredible. Trance Energy was absolutely mindblowing and i cant wait for next year already. The event in itself would have been a blast no matter what, but the fact that we had the opportunity to go with about 20-25 people made it 1000 times better, and the fact that everyone was so respectful, outgoing, and friendly with meeting complete strangers is just awesome....exactly what the rave scene is supposed to be like...no bullshit drama.

I certainly hope it wont be Feb of '09 the next time im back in amsterdam, but like chryz said...we definitely all have to stay in touch and exchange either AIM, MSN, or myspace contact info.

Great meeting everyone and hope everyone made it home safe

Due to us sharing a computer at this time while I'm still in Buffalo, Tommy signed under my name so I was just giving a heads up to let everyone know that the above mentioned quote was from him.

Now for me!!

I was talking to Candy in one of the coffeshops we went to I believe after dinner and she had mentioned to me about a party she went to where she had a "religious experience".

Indeed I expereinced the same thing on this trip.

Venturing to a new country with my bf and friends was amazing. The city itself opened my eyes to so much more about the world and about music.

Trance Energy itself was what every party I've been to before was leading up to. Ferry was great, I was kinda hoping to hear "Beautiful" tho.
Tiesto was good too, but I just happen to like the harder stuff so Sander, imo, killed it!

Now with that being said, my love for the music is what got me into this scence but its also the people that make it worth while.

Meeting all of you made my trip. Having dinner, enjoying drinks, the sex show, lol ... I'll never be able to look at a banana the same again! They way we all took care of eachother...thats why I enjoy these parties.

Thank all of you so much for aiding in my "religious experience".

JORDY 4 PREZ!

Posted by Ouwe Dwaas on Feb-26-2008 22:12:

you're all so kind

I did it with so much pleasure. I was feeling great that a lot of people joined the gatherings. And it was great to help most of you with everything they asked me with private mssgs, at the gatherings and at the party.

It was great to meet all of you and great to see the familiar faces again

And we have to keep in touch for sure.

Send me in a pm your msn, e-mail, myspace addresses

Oh and by the way: Just finished my Magik Movie Maker video of Trance Energy

the video is 1 hour and 18 minutes
a lot of pictures and 24 videos in total.

When it's online, I will post it.

Just 1 picture I will post here, a mix of my Dutch friends and TA's

Hey Rob, it's not from the PartyFlock.
It's from tillate.com, you have to register to see the larger picture.

Hello all,

Candy and I(Cornell) safely returned to San Francisco last night and we are still on our "high" from Trance Energy 2008, so you will have to excuse me if it gets a bit mushy(or PLUR-y).

I think it's a testament to the wonderful people we met at our TA meet-up that Candy and I were eager to get back home to our computers to read the postings from all of you and write one ourselves. In that sense, we want to echo Tommy/Maggie's sentiment that "everyone was so respectful, outgoing, and friendly with meeting complete strangers". There is no question in my mind that the whole TE2008 experience was enhanced because of you guys. Everyone was generous in their own way -- Chris(from Naples), through his enthusiasm in the forum, really was the catalyst for me(and many of you) to make the trip; Tommy pointed me to a nice hotel which we enjoyed; Maggie comically reminded us that we are all still "American tourists", after all, with the "curler incident"; Mike(from C-bus) generously lent me his phone without any solicitation when I had to go fetch Candy; Brandon/Tiffany kept it real with the raver gear; Trevor/Rachel brought us back to our youth(first trip abroad in the first 6 mo. of dating... slow down, kids!); Paul, our newly-found Bay Area homey, took one for the team at Baba ; Heather the transplant from D.C. who may have to take over as next year's TE host; John who was a late-comer to the TA meet-up(you're going to WMC, kid); Chris(Toronto) showing us how to party "sober"(and sharing pics with us later?); Meagan and the crew putting Buffalo on the party map; Rob dropping the knowledge about his previous TE experience; Riia graciously "putting up" with Tiesto's set just to hang out with us on the dance floor; and last but not least, Jordy, our fearless leader, organizing the meeting and essentially guaranteeing good times for all. I know I forgot a bunch of people but I'll end it here before I cave into temptation to buy tickets for Armin ONLY at Jaarbeurs next month.

As someone alluded to earlier, I feel like the years of our partying has culminated in the party-to-end-all-parties that is Trance Energy. But it was even better because we had you guys with whom to enjoy.

I hope everyone made it back to their respective homes safely. I'm sure we'll keep in touch at least in the forums, and let the countdown for TE2009 begin!

Posted by TistoAddict19 on Feb-29-2008 16:20:

I'm pretty sure I am!! I somehow still have a good chunk of money left over after getting back from Amsterdam so I'm probably gona buy my ticket today! YAY!!!!!! Tiesto for a 5th time!! Now I just have to find a WICKED cheap hotel/motel (just a place to sleep for a few hours haha). Looks like it will be a lot cheaper for me to drive. Driving 16 hours all on my lonesome may not be the funnest tho I will see you at Ultra Jordy! Not sure if Trev will be joining me as he doesn't get PTO and I do HOORAY for getting paid to PARTY!!!! haha my life is grand.
