We mostly hung out on the right side of the stage but I tried to vid Nissim's kermit the frog antics but to no avail. It wasn't the best place to have both hands in the air anyways...

got there at 11h15,waited two hrs b4 getting in!!

i dont know why epoeple need drug to stay awake,the music keeps u awake!!!i drank like 6-7 bottles of water and 1 red bull,and had an amazing night

infected mushrrom was great,really started the party for me,and got me in a psyche mode

ferry followed and was awesome as well

armin was decent,but thought he would have been better,why so much hype for the guy???? He played some good tunes though

menno was cool,just stayed 30 mins of his set

-I went in the the house room for 2 mins and left,didnt expect that many naked guys in the middle


pros: -got to be front row or just behind the first person for all these 4 djs!!! I was the asian guy if u saw me lol
-pretty girls
-decent music
-friendly people in general except for some idiot that thought i was trying to dance with his gf because i was next to her.......
-bathroom was fast,i thought we had to wait like an hr....

cons:-crappy decorations!!where the fuck are the lazers!!!except for the 1 guy tha brought a lazer LOL
-long wait to get in
-speakers!!!too loud!!
-stupid theme
-ehh crazy armin fans bowin at him!!!!



final comments:it was funny seeing how fucked up people were at 10 am,with their huge eyes and still dancing like mad cows!

my first bal en blanc

These reviews vary from great to horrible I just don't know what to beleive

Ok, now that I have slept.
Bal was so much fun. I had a blast more than I have had at the past 4.

Bal is a business, it is doing very very well. Why change their strategy? With big names, people fly in from all around the world to come to the event. If you want to hear 'underground' DJ's, go see then when they play at smaller venues.

About the girls, I think they look super pretty when they are there, and its dark, but dudes ... my friends and I spent all day going through the pictures of past bal en blancs, and I can say

3% of the girls were stunning.
5% were ok.
50% were ugly
42% were actually scarry

As for the organization, I think it is VERY well organized. It is a massive rave, line ups are going to be long. The problem with this year is, EVERYONE went early. Usually people show up between 11 and 6. Take all those people arriving at 12, trouble.

Lasers...I don't understand that part. Trance and lasers go together. If you host a Trance event, you bring at LEAST 1 laser. bal en blanc light show would be so much better with lasers in the tech/trance room. They got the money. 3 lasers (front, left, right) would do an amazing job. Come on, RedLight has a laser, why not a big event like BeB ?

It might be a health issue... Palais might not have the proper height setting to place a laser

i know someone else was holding a green laser.

but that little one that came on when armin started, didnt evne stay on long, it hought it was going to get bigger or something heh.
but yeah pretty lame. i think house room had lasers? or maybe its a pic from a different event. it was a pic of guetta with lasers. i think someone posted it somewhere

As for the green small laser, I think it was just a dude that had brought his own laser cause I saw him in the middle of the dancefloor with it ! lolll

it's funny, a lot of people mention all the sketched out people and i don't know why but a good chunk of people i was around were as sober as i was. i had no problem with the gay guys and no idea why others did, if someone keeps harassing you then yes i get it but their existence shouldn't be a bother . it's not like it's an event for straight people only.

as for the green laser, there was a guy in a wheelchair and his friend had a laser pen and I saw him using it during Armin's set.

I agree. While sitting in the concourse below the washrooms, I saw plenty that looked unattractive with lights on, layer of dried sweat and cracked out eyes. There were a fair amount of fit girls but some should open a facedown.com account.

As for the organisation (or lack thereof), I think it was a mix of overselling and ppl showing up early, the latter based on last year combined with the luxury of cellular phones. I for one was getting all sorts of texts about the huge lineup and to come down to the Palais earlier than I'd originally planned to.

Gervais was very good

Nissim is not a dj

Party was good

But i left early...

Pissed off i missed Calderone

I hope to hear more of him next year around PEAK TIME

thanks for qualifying that.. indeed that is what they are saying as a big chunk of ppl (gay or straight) were stripped down by the late morning. It just means less idiots for many of us to deal with at Black and Blue if that is the mindset.
