Agreed... it's all concentrated in the uber-machismo Jersey Shore/Brooklyn area. So weird how that is considered cool there. I can't think of Italians in other areas of the US where it's like that. I bet actual natives in and from Italy cringe when they see it.

The Italians I met in London at the M_nus party were cool, loud of course, but really funny and easy going.
