he was likely referring to djs that do more than one set a week there.

I'm done stirring the pot.

you know i'm usually a really nice chick but you're a fuckin idiot..i wasn't trying to make you jealous..i don't know anything about you but from your posts i do know that you know NOTHING about the scene that you fucking try to defend..if you did..you wouldn't talk such shit..and if you have been in the scene long enough to know what i'm talkin about..you must have gone through it in a haze of drugs to not be able to see it's obvious evolution and shift...

fuck i hate being insulting..what is this place doing to me..lol...

can we please NOT call any names please? especially if you don't know facts.

cause now if we put PurpleHaze's and Jay's comments together, we get:

Tim, the sound tech from the zone, who also works at the guv, does lines of K inside the Silver Dollar.

Tim doesn't do K and he doesn't really work at the zone anymore (correct me if Im wrong Jon).

I agree Sasha that kind of stuff should not be said in here.

Too many clueless "opinionated" degenerates trying to argue about things they don't know anything about. Honestly this place has turned into a retard playground lately especially with some newer members actively participating and expressing their worthless opinions.

I also love the hypocrisy in this thread by many posters mentioning how the cz is a drug heaven and should have been closed long ago yet they do drugs themselves on a regular basis, what a fucking joke.

If your implying myself, which I take it you are.

The CZ is a drug haven, I never said closed down, I said raided and cleaned up. Sure I do drugs but not like some of the people do it there. That place was an excuse for people to get way too fucked up. They werent there for the music, its the people that were that I feel sorry for.

Jon, ok, every club you go to, even rock bars have drugs at them, but none of them operated and let it go like the zone. No other place let fly what the zone did. Thats my point here. In Montreal they had metal detectors and the search was ruthless, do they do that at zone? no. If you were caught at the doors with drugs were you just let in and could buy your drugs back with a shrug of the shoulders?

I dont really get your point with this comparison?

Listen Jon, we all loved the zone and its sad that if it goes it is gone. But just because we are in the scene and we think drug use is ok doesnt mean society does and make it legal. If that type of sound and music was in another venue would you be saying the same? Why not just move the zone, rename it and re open it with better management? Do you really need the business of the super sketch bags that went there? Kick them out, dont let them in? Do whatever, I know lots of people that wont go cause of sketch factor, Wouldnt it be nice to have these people come? i would rather hang out in a bar full of them then the sketch that was in there.

LOL..i was going to say the same thing! haha

I was going to make my return yesterday after work, and catch Carlo and Nathan for 8 pm, but luckily talked to Carlo before I went in to find out that it was closed.
But there is good news...they're renovating the place so it will be open next weekend (too bad I have to work a double on sunday).

*expired choc. milk hahahah (jon and sasha, you know what I'm talking about...LMAO)

I don't think so. None of the TAs that go now, save for a handful, ever went there back when I went.

What would you say then? All I am saying is its not the most glamourous job and something you probably wouldnt gloat to your kids about especially if they saw your work got raided on the news.

Would you tell the job your worked at that you worked there?

If I was a DJ at the Zone then yes I would be more then happy to tell my boss at any other club that I DJ there... the quality of the music is the one thing that NO ONE can disupute, by far the best in TO! So to answer your question, yes i would

I'm not going to say much because i don't want to participate in this mess but just one thing:
instead of bashing a place that had barely any connection in your friends unfortunate death why not just quit doing drugs altogether in memory and remembrance of him??

Remember, you would singing a different song if another venue gets raided that is not "sketchy" (like you said) and YOU are one of the patrons inside with illegal substances on you.

Weapons is what they were trying to keep out. Much like any other club in this city for that matter.

At the big special events at places like that the promoters are contractually obligated to hire mass amounts of security and paid duty police.

I've known people many people involved in the montreal club scene over the years. From DJs to club owners.. and I've been attending events there for over 10 years now, and that shit is totally out in the open there. You get solicited by the house dealers upon entering the clubs and they sell out in the open.
