My advice is not to record on an external Hard drive connected via USB. I had all sort of glicthes with that. That went away when I used the internal HDD of my laptop.

Ugh, I've had that happen before. Terrible when things are going well.

That happened to one of the best mixes Clovis and I ever recorded. I go to save and I guess I was out of HD space so my application locked up. So long "Scarface"

Yeah, the original file was messed up...not sure what happened, we were going through a fire wire 410 into a mac G5...lol

Anyways, re-recorded a new mix last night, vastly different even though it uses some of the same tunes

For some reason, when I saw the title, I kept thinking this was going to be inspired by the 'weed headband' dude. Go fig'.

Wasn't too into this on first listen, but then I didn't really get a chance to hear it on something decent -rather, t'was just shitty cell-phone speakers while at work. Mind, there were some decent groove-worthy moments that caught my attention, so will definitely give it another go around with proper Senns at work tonight.

...yeah. Wow, what a difference good listening equipment makes, eh? This is definitely headphone music.

Alright, I'll admit it: I've a harsh weakness for dub-funk deep house music, which this set delivered in spades. Really, I didn't hear much techno at all, but that's fine when I'm grooving away to this kind of vibe. The "I cans Akufenz too" bit in the middle was a little too cute for its own good, though not that bad as a side-avenue to add some variety.

Will probably be keeping this one for a while, maybe even burn a hard-copy.

Thumbs up

Word, def a full range of frequencies that need to be heard.

The name is just a joke, this is indeed on the housey funky side.

I'm going back to this tonight and give it another run. Had some distance from the first listen, thinking it might strike me well now, and oddly enough, for some reason I just felt compelled to listen to it again - like it was all I wanted to turn on right now.

Well shit, thats a first

I still hate that fucking static sound on the first mix out...I wanna email Techriders and be like WHY???? WHY???

It was my first time playing the track

You'll have that.

I don't even want to think about some of my "I should have listened to this all the way through first" moments.

So I decided to join you Rob. God damn that bearweasel tune makes me move. Just remembered I played it opening the terrace @ avalon this past Saturday.

One of my more favorite tunes you've turned me onto the past few months.

Don't know what it is (my mood? my mom's pork?), but I'm definitely enjoying it more this time.

I am currently baked off my fucking ass and Anja's tune is owning my face. God its such a beautiful track.

Opening, peaktime, afterparty, on the bus to work...

It works.

Some day I'll get high again.

Hey Clovis, really dig those quirky messed up sounds around 25mins-35mins while still maintaining the groove and funk through there too. Great mix man although I found it ended quite abruptly and was left hanging for more to come. Really appreciate hearing DJs mix sets without much planning and playing tunes for the first time. I guess you can really get an idea of the mixing skills when sets are like that. Definitley be listening to some more of your work too.
Cheers for sharing this mix.

Yes I play this out, played a bunch of these opening for Magda, see other thread.

I downloaded this ages ago, but I'm playing it for the first time right now. Don't know why I procrastinated so much, lol.

First track is sick man, it's like one of the best intros I've ever heard. Loved every bit of this set, I see it's a good six months old now but it still is some of the freshest music I've heard lately. It has it all man, the tech, the funk, the organic sounds, everything. Will be playing this many more times.

By the way, it's been some time since the last time I chair-raved this bad!

It was a nice surprise actually...I was browsing through my iPod this morning deleting some shit I don't really listen to. When I got it I thought it was pretty impossible to fill 160GB, but what do you know? I'm already at 120GB now and there's definitely some shit there that needs to go and don't know why I put there in the first place (hell, I even had Ian van Dahl tracks ).

Posted by DJ Blitzkrieg on Jan-21-2009 21:30:

I'll give this a listen. Nice pic, like the girls!

Posted by DjArTiN! on Jan-22-2009 02:58:

gonna give it a listen, starting to get into techno lately
