zone and other afterhours are necessary part of society. take some sociology courses and you'll find out why
if CZ closes another one or two afterhour clubs will open someplace else. Also anywhere where there's clubs there's going to be a sketch factor whether people use GHB, extacy, alcohol, etc
almost post.
I got a serious question here..
has anyone taken a shit in CZ?? i have only gone #1 but #2 is a whole other story..
any insight to this matter?

Let's acknowledge, for argument sake, that people party at Zone, and like every other club in the world, a couple people get out of hand. Let's accept that and put it to the side.
Comfort Zone is an experience in and of itself. Unlike all of the other clubs in the city, with their lights and VIPs and bottle service, Zone's a dark basement with black lights and great acoustics for bass. Just on face value, it's not like any other club in the city.
It becomes about the music. It's almost primal. As the cop said, "They're in the zone."
Zone does have a reputation. Rightfully so! It serves the purpose of keeping randoms out. If you're afraid of Zone, good, stay away, very far! LOL
Now picture you have this club in the city, that's not like every other club. A place where u could go on a Sunday morning, in your pajamas and dance your ass off with a bunch of your friends listening to your favorite DJs spin and experiment with their sickest beats. You almost forget it's a club and think of it as a club-house.
If CZ closese in the next couple of years it will be missed, and nothing that anybody says about that place will make us think differently about it.

Isn't Skipper allowed to express her opinion? You people express negative opinions about things all the time on here but god forbid someone speaks negatively about your precious Zone.
Yes the music is great and I had my fun there but the place is still a shit hole. Having lived in the neighbourhood as well you can see the difference in sketch factors when it's open and when it isn't. Zone only attracts young business people? LOL have you seen the sketchy gangstas in Zone? Not people I would want wandering around my neighbourhood wacked out of their heads.
Unless someone wants to turn Zone into a Non-profit institution then you can't really compare it to CAMH or the homeless shelter next door.

| Originally posted by teufel-man My point about CAMH and the homeless shelter was that they make College and Spadina 'sketchy'... and that the Zone patrons dont actually cause any sort of harm anyone in the area... they just emerge from the black door at odd times of the day and usually hop straight into a cab. This was in response to Skipper saying that the Zone made college and spadina more dangerous (or 'sketchy') |
