That looks horrible, sorry Mikey. Homefries do not count, and neither does your cubed cheddar. But for Torontonian, I guess that's what you've been served before by toronto restaurants calling that blasphemy a poutine. What kind of gravy did you use?

I did...finally. Ian got some a few weeks ago and I tried it...I hated it. I don't like curds, I don't like the mozzarella, I don't like the cold cheese and the hot gravy mixed together, I don't like the taste of gravy and cheese together...blech. Just not my thing.

Smokes' was good poutine, but I found it wasn't done right. I'll give them another chance, and if they fail next time, they're going to get letter from me.

I know it's not the same as authentic Montreal poutine, but this is downtown Toronto... can't you love them for what they are?
