I love Armin but PVD rocked that night. I have heard NOTHING but amazing things towards "crowds" reactions on PVD's set. One way or another wish I was there....

I'm giving more credit to Armin than most of you. I thought his TE set was good, nothing amazing, but it defo wasn't shitty. However, I completely agree that it doesn't TOUCH PVD's amazing set... that shit was badass!

Meh.. can't decide if I should go. I'm spending most of my limited funds on the airline tickets and I'll be seeing him in my hometown not 2 weeks after. But there is really no other trance going on Saturday night so I might have to.

that's because they don't play a lot of PVD on TMF and MTV in holland and mass advertise him the way they do with armin. So PVD is not "cool" like armin is...

for what it's worth, I am almost done listening to the entire broadcast of Trance Energy 2009. Armin's set was nothing special. It was short. Not much a DJ can do in that period of time, but way too many breakdowns. John O'Callaghan absolutely ripped it though!!! PVD's set seemed ok in the beginning, but I didn't dig his live keyboarding at all...some very, very out of key and messy piano playing from what I can tell. Of course I wasn't there so I may be wrong...

I'm confident given an extended set, we won't be hearing Armin trudge through the Imagine LP the whole time.
