Why in the name of christ would you ever need an M4 Carbine in your house? I'd still like one though
What i've never gotten is the most common answer gun owners provide when asked about why they own guns: "It's my right as a U.S. citizen" or "It's in the Constitution". You can boil that down into "because i can", which i think we can all agree is a fucking stupid reason for anything.

And for different kinds of hunting, it requires different kinds of guns. And yes, we have several handguns, but to practice our shooting and for protective reasons - not to kill people. And yes, we both have concealed weapons permits (which, ps, you have to take a class on shooting before you can have one), and yes, you DO have a wait period before you can just leave with a gun. I don't have ninja skills, so if someone breaks into my house, I can't exactly throw a knife at them and hit them - nor would I seem scary with it either. However, when I come down the hall with a shotgun - and they hear the 'click-click', chances are that person is going to think twice about continuing with the break-in. |

Foolish, never go back to a previous statistic, you run the risk of letting others in on a single slip-up and could blow your entire cover.
hahaha i like to live on the edge

Gun crime
"Applying a hotspot perspective to firearm crime suggests a focus on both places and people. Research in Indianapolis found that only 3 percent of the city's addresses accounted for 100 percent of the gun crimes"
It's the people not the guns.
btw Indiana ranked 20th in 2006 for murder rate per 100,000 people.
Murder Rates
Precisely. People are not responsible enough to be trusted with owning guns, so they should have them taken away.

I believe that the right permits should be given to people for example, farmers, in handling certain types of hunting weapons, shotguns or rifles.
I just don't see the point in having a gun that you mow down an entire classroom without having to reload. They're not normally used in a hunting situation. (Like that massive shotgun thing up there).

yeah, you need to have the permit. theres about one and a half million shotguns in the UK and that's for people who own farms or lots of land as far as i know, or if you work as a gamekeeper or something of the sort.
