That's high praise. I may have to check it out.

Where did you find that? I ask because I've read lots of Rorty but never saw that...

I don't know, Adam; Ayn Rand gets misinterpreted alot, I read 'Atlas Shrugged', and that was it; I liked it, I learned alot about her objectivist stance; would probably read again (older), but the recent books you suggested are far more enthralling than any other piece of fiction out there, at least in my opinion...
When you have genuine douchebags like that guy from the news telling his audience how Ayn Rand is this futuristic thriller of how our society will crumble, that's when you start worrying about the mentality behind all those television networks.
I hate how Americans can be so easily manipulated and brainwashed, it makes me sick.

Douchebags like to pretend they are a lot of things they're not. Why should that reflect poorly on Rand's writing and views of the world?

ayn rand is a stupid fucking bitch.

Capitalizt wouldn't know a cohesive political philosophy if it was stuffed right up his arse.

if rand was anything of note she would have played an influential role in 20th century academia. she didn't. she's only famous for being a cuckoo.

I'm sorry, I misunderstood this post. I thought you meant "fantasy novel intended for reading by people who are douchebags", not "a novel that douchebags like to pretend they're living in".
