Originally posted by AbcGum It doesn't work that way, you won't get fucked. First of all if you're chilling on the beach, promoters will hook you up with discount bracelets. Secondly, you can buy tickets at just about any bar on the island. No point in buying tickets early. I did it the first year I went, and didn't even worry about it the second time. Once you're there you'll see what I'm talking about.

Originally posted by AbcGum Those are actually the ones you get the biggest discounts to. Those parties probably have the most people out promoting them. Just sit on the beach and you'll get a bracelet. If not head into a bar and get a ticket. Think about it, those are the two biggest clubs that pack the most people. Do you think a little discount is going to hurt the bottom line? It's Ibiza, I don't think "capacity" is in the vocabulary. Believe me, I know what it means to be apprehensive about going over there, but tickets to clubs is something you don't need to worry about.

Originally posted by PatMcGroin yea i guess. i mean ive been reading this same info in other places and have been talking to some friends who have been 3 or 4 times. and they looked at me like i was crazy when i said i wanted to buy online tickets. so i know theres something to it all. its just REALLY hard for me to not buy tickets since i ALWAYS buy presales EVERY time i go out. shit, in miami you have to. but obviously, ibiza is not miami.

Originally posted by AbcGum I went for 4 nights my first year and 7 my second. Next time I'm going for 5. Just try to get out and see the island, it's not all just clubs and drugs. Last summer my wife and I spent a day scuba diving, and a day just driving around the island. There's plenty of cool shit to do.

7 days is perfect but don't over due it. pick 2 of the nights just to chill and not go clubbing maybe a bar but that's it so you can get long sleep then try them many different things to do on the island like go to Formentera for the day trust me you will love it...Also try Salinas beach just relax and see what the culture is about.
Tickets are least of your concern but there are some rare exceptions for example when I was there in 2007 Tiesto was doing a special 2 night show there and that show sold out so I was lucky I bought before hand but regular clubs will never sell out. Try the pussycat in San Antonio for tickets its pretty good price there. If you are gonna buy online only only buy from www.ibizaspotlight.com.
The day time discount braclets are BS unless you wanna go to the off events that most people wont go to or Space if you get there at 7pm lol with no in and out.

Originally posted by Neo95gt Yeah that's the plan. A few days do something other than go balls to the wall. Any suggestions on good places to eat, beaches to go to, other things to do like snorkle or something?

Ibiza Rocks Hotel
It's only a few short weeks until the first guitar gets plugged into the first amp, the first singer takes their first breath and the first drop of sweat hits the white Ibiza sand.
We've already announced the likes of MGMT, The Klaxons, Dizzee Rascal and more; now it's time to reveal the next wave of peerless live acts who'll be soundtracking the best summer of your life.
June 16, Opening Party - Ting Tings & Frankmusik
One of the coolest, inventive and downright sexiest bands to emerge in recent years. Perfect for Ibiza. Perfect for Ibiza Rocks. DJ support comes from Frankmusik and the legendary Zane Lowe.
June 23 - Friendly Fires
Without doubt the coolest new band of the past year, Friendly Fires have claimed the hearts of kids and critics alike. Give them yours.
July 7 - Top Secret Headliner
This week's headliner is still classified, but we can tell you that the superb Kissy Sell Out will play live.
July 14 Top Secret Headliner (announced later this week!)
Once again, we're not at liberty to divulge the identity of our headliner just yet. Turntable support comes from Zane Lowe.
July 21 - Groove Armada
The party-starting maestros play their first show on the white island. We have a feeling it won't be the last.
September 1 - Soulwax & Burn the Negative
Returning for an unprecedented third year running, Soulwax are peerless whether in front of the amps or behind the decks. Support comes from Burn the Negative.
Here's the rest of the line-up:

Originally posted by DPetey81 Seriously... What is all this talk about taking it easy? I guess everybody's different, but I can't imagine going to Ibiza and not partying it up to the fullest. I mean, am I missing something? I am an Ibiza virgin and will probably be hitting up the closing parties this year. So, all you veterans, fill me in....... What is soo difficult about Ibiza partying? I didn't even think there was 24 hour partying anymore on the Island. Don't the clubs close at 6am? If so, that's not quite a daunting task in my opinion. I know that a lot of people go overboard on the drinking and miscellaneous substances but, even so, isn't there plenty of opportunity to sleep it off on the beach, in the room, etc..? Now, in relation to a previous post, I do consider myself somewhat of a robot when it comes to going out. I can usually keep going as long as there's music playing, and I've pulled countless marathons in my life. Basically what I'd like to know, is: What sets Ibiza apart in terms of clubbing/partying for an extended period of time? I would like to be in the right mindframe when heading over there and don't want to be too naive in thinking I can party like usual. Thanx 'all
