we are bringing in an additional sound system for the night

Posted by iammesol on Jul-07-2009 02:09:

w00t.

Still no word 6 hours?

Posted by Seppuku on Jul-07-2009 03:25:

Good to hear about extra sound, though even without it the sound at Dreams is ridiculously better than opera's.

Posted by coroknight on Jul-07-2009 03:54:

Listening to digweed's latest mixes has made me even more excited for this.

Posted by iammesol on Jul-07-2009 13:24:

No kidding. Transitions 250 has been my "to school" favorite for about 3 weeks now.

How much are they at Beatlab? Same price?

Posted by fiCti0naL on Jul-10-2009 21:54:

I'm not gonna be able to afford two tickets for me and my girl until the 15th, which I'm guessing they will be sold out by then. How likely will it be we can buy at the door considering we are driving from Charlotte? I reallllly don't wanna miss this.

Posted by coroknight on Jul-12-2009 23:32:

they suck but everyone else is going so just come.

I figure as long as the company is decent then no matter how bad they suck I'll still have an alright time (though it might get CRAMPED).

And I listened to Transitions 250 (first Digweed set I've heard in a year or so) since everyone was hyping it and it just sounded teeeepiiiiidlyyyy boring.

I have my hopes set on good music that night at Millhouse level.

Posted by coroknight on Jul-13-2009 00:02:

The stuff he plays on his transitions show isn't peak time material.

Here are a few recent videos:

Personally, I enjoy the stuff played on his show as well as the peak time stuff.

Posted by Demoted on Jul-13-2009 00:05:

I don't know, even that sounded blah. I'm sure it's fun live but I just can't stand to listen to a Digweed set at home. Same goes for most tech house it seems. The sets never progress anywhere, they're generally kept at the same bpm throughout and blaahhhh. But the basslines are fun while in the environment, so I really don't know. I've never seen Digweed live, but his musical taste has been completely boring for me over the past two years.

Did you just read "they suck" and post?

They're great guys, they used to spin some very incredible music, music that I'm still discovering and loving, but these days they have lost their thunder. Sure, they still pull huge crowds in the whoreinfested chavtown of Ibiza and everywhere else they play parties, but they simply do not play music that is as relevant as the days of yore.

Sorry.

sasha/diggers are still lethal. Transitions 250 was sick. End of story.
